People are still writing and calling me with words of gratitude. “Normal people are all with you,” Ukrainians keep repeating to me. Of course, public opinions in Ukraine’s information space vary widely. This is especially visible on Ukrainian Facebook, where partisan bots and paid “experts” have long been battling those who still believe the platform matters. Unfortunately, it is not representative of the Ukrainian people at all. A large part of Ukrainian society has no voice in the West. Many in Kyiv have grown comfortable with the normalization of this war — securing grants, stable salaries, political patronage, money-laundering schemes, or building careers on the war.
