Dr. Fauci has been paid millions of dollars to serve the taxpayers of the United States throughout his career. He is paid a $400,000 annual pension by the taxpayers of the US. When asked by the representatives of the taxpayers of the US today to answer some basic and important questions about gain of function research, the origin of covid, the conduct of the covid response, and vaccine safety, he has refused, putting his own concern about his personal legal risk above the good the country and the public’s health and well-being, despite having requested, received, and accepted a full and unconditional pre-emptive President pardon which would cover any honest disclosures he might make. With this action, Dr. Fauci should retire completely from public life. He should make no more public statements. He should give no softball interviews. I hope that no academic or cultural institution will disgrace themselves by inviting him to speak and deliver more propaganda when he declined to address important and critical public health questions to America’s representatives in a public forum. No more honors, awards, and prizes, please. Dr. Fauci has disgraced himself.
