God responds immediately to a willing heart. He will help that person in every possible way. If this were not the case, none of us would be able to serve Him. God’s Spirit draws us to the cross. Christ was the first one to be drawn to the cross, and now we are being drawn in that same direction. Christ offered Himself by the power of an eternal Spirit, and we can constantly commit ourselves into death by the power of the Spirit of Christ. This is how we are conformed to Christ in His death.
