I have never found it problematic for anyone to meet the president.
What matters to me is the reason for the meeting. For as long as the meeting is not to advance personal agendas and is rather to table the needs of Ugandans and craft solutions, where is the problem?
The day you agreed to be sworn in as a member of parliament or any other office, is the day you affirmed the current government as legitimate and you signed to work with them for the greater good of Ugandans.
In my view, leaders in opposition, just like they meet and interact with other government officials, should do the same with the president as long as the purpose is to serve Ugandans better 🙌
