Kenyans have to decide for themselves if being ignorant is a value they want to keep holding onto, because it seems that imperialism and the Kenyan hegemony, including mainstream media, have not given up on convincing Kenyans that ignorance and a narrow mind are good things to have.
.@NationAfrica released this propaganda piece just after I did a video on #MaishaKazini talking about the lies of arts and sciences. They put the face of the CEO, Prof Kuria, to suggest that he had just made a statement about a skills mismatch, when Nation reporter Lynet Igwada was simply quoting reports.
Nation is saying the market is demanding sciences. No. It's not. Kenya exports its scientists. In fact, in my video, I showed that the market for sciences is deliberately being stiffled.
Moreover, even the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis, which is public institution, said that a new technical curriculum would not address unemployment because “the problem was not in the education system per se, but a manifestation of economic and social challenges, including the failure of the economic system to create ample job opportunities to absorb graduates.”
