Delivering the fast, reliable internet experience people deserve. Internet as it should be.

Charlotte, NC
Rural internet has changed. Unfortunately, some of the assumptions about it haven’t. For years, living in a rural community often meant making compromises when it came to connectivity. But as fiber networks expand into more small towns and rural areas, some of the old assumptions about rural internet just don’t hold up anymore. We’re taking on five of the biggest rural connectivity myths — and looking at what’s changing. Because better connectivity isn’t just about faster internet. It can open doors to remote work, education, telehealth, entrepreneurship and new opportunities without requiring people to leave the communities they call home. 💛 Ready to separate fact from fiction? 🔗 Read Five Rural Connectivity Myths We’re Busting in 2026: bit.ly/4rI48pJ #Brightspeed #FiberInternet #RuralBroadband #Connectivity

Between an approved plan and working infrastructure, there's a build to execute across dozens of sites. That’s where statewide initiatives can lose time. The plan and funding may be in place, but bringing the network live still requires coordinating sites, schedules and handoffs. Often, the challenge isn’t technology, it’s keeping execution moving. The initiatives that reach live service the quickest are those with a team that stays with the build, from contract signing through the last site. That's the work Brightspeed Business is built around. We help agencies turn approved plans into live network infrastructure. More Pennsylvania communities are getting closer to the connectivity they deserve. Brightspeed has been awarded $41.7 million in federal BEAD funding to help extend our fiber network to more than 9,000 additional homes and businesses across Pennsylvania. The funding is part of more than $448 million in BEAD awards recently announced by the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority to expand high-speed internet access across 50 counties. For us, the impact goes well beyond the numbers. It means more students able to learn from home. More small businesses able to compete and grow. More families able to access healthcare, job opportunities and essential services online. And it builds on the work already underway as we continue expanding our fiber network across Pennsylvania. This is what closing the digital divide looks like: community by community, connection by connection. #Brightspeed #Pennsylvania #Broadband #FiberInternet #DigitalDivide @PADCEDnews

For our team, those conversations matter. They help us strengthen relationships, better understand what businesses need and find new ways to deliver connectivity solutions that help our customers move forward. As our lives become more connected, protecting ourselves online becomes increasingly important. From the devices we use to the information we share, cybersecurity is part of navigating an increasingly digital world. And while technology continues to evolve, some of the most important protections start with awareness and everyday habits. In recognition of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the latest episode of Fiber in 45 features Brian Littleton sharing practical steps consumers can take to help reduce risk online, from stronger passwords and multifactor authentication to thinking twice before clicking unfamiliar links. Because better connectivity also means better understanding of how to navigate our connected world safely and responsibly. #FiberIn45 #Brightspeed #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth #Connectivity

Some partnerships just make sense. 🚴‍♀️ For the second year, Brightspeed is powering the Arkansas High Country Race — an epic endurance event that takes cyclists hundreds of miles through rural Arkansas, including many of the places where we’re working to expand access to high-speed fiber. This year, we’re also excited to support the launch of Women to the Finish Line, a new initiative encouraging more women to participate in ultra-endurance cycling. Women make up 20% of this year’s registered field — the most in race history! Our own Lymari Munoz has been helping bring this partnership to life locally, connecting Brightspeed with the people and communities that make the Arkansas High Country so special. On October 3, we’ll be cheering on every rider as they take on the Arkansas High Country Race. 💛 Here’s to connecting people, places and possibilities across Arkansas. #ArkansasHighCountryRace #BrightspeedFiber #WomenToTheFinishLine

Strong communities depend on strong infrastructure — and that starts with understanding what local leaders need. Brightspeed Business joined municipal leaders from across Indiana at the 2026 Aim Ideas Summit to connect, listen and learn more about the priorities shaping cities and towns across the state. Those conversations help us better understand how reliable, scalable connectivity can support municipalities as they serve residents, drive economic development and plan for what’s next. Thanks to Accelerate Indiana Municipalities for bringing together the people working to move Indiana communities forward. #BrightspeedBusiness #infrastructure #AIM2026 @AimIndiana

We don’t just serve communities. We’re part of the community. 💛 And this week, there’s a lot happening in Copperas Cove, Texas! Brightspeed is teaming up with the Copperas Cove Police Department to support Running the Bases for 118, a community scavenger hunt created in memory of Officer Elijah Garretson #118 and inspired by his love of baseball. Residents are following clues throughout Copperas Cove and learning more about the person behind the badge. Want to join the hunt? Follow the Copperas Cove Police Department on social media for clues and details: bit.ly/4yF53KB It all leads up to Saturday’s National Night Out kick-off party: “Downtown Major Leagues.” Brightspeed employees who call the area home will be there to support the event, while scavenger hunt winners will be announced online ahead of the celebration. Brightspeed is providing prizes for the winners, including electronic baseball pitching machines! It’s one more way we’re showing up, building relationships and supporting the communities we call home. 💛 #BrightspeedFiber #CopperasCove #NationalNightOut #MajorLeagues @CovePolice

Sometimes connection looks like a fiber line. Sometimes it looks like a shared selfie. 💛 That’s the idea behind Share the Spotlight, a new collaboration between Brightspeed and Springfield Little Theatre designed to make a night at the theatre even more interactive, memorable and fun. Theatregoers can snap a photo at one of our Brightspeed selfie mirrors and receive a commemorative digital photo featuring the show they attended—a new keepsake to capture with every visit. Share it on social, tag Brightspeed and Springfield Little Theatre, and you can also enter for a chance to win monthly prizes. For us, it’s about more than a photo. We believe strong communities are built through shared experiences. Supporting Springfield Little Theatre gives us another way to help create those meaningful connections in a community we’re proud to serve. #ShareTheSpotlight #SpringfieldMO #BrightspeedFiber @SpfldTheatre

Connection isn’t just about access. It’s about what that access makes possible. Brightspeed is supporting United Way of Hunterdon County in the launch of Hunterdon Connect, a new hyper-local resource designed to make it easier for people to find food and transportation assistance, mental health resources, and other trusted services, programs and opportunities in their community. “At Brightspeed’s core, we believe the internet is more than just technology — it’s a bridge that brings people closer together,” said Sabrina Anderson, Brightspeed local marketing manager. That belief is at the heart of this partnership: using access and local collaboration to help people find the support they need, when they need it. That’s connection with real community impact. 💛 #HunterdonConnect #HunterdonCounty #CommunityImpact #BrightspeedFiber

What if where you live didn’t limit where you could work? 💛 That’s the idea behind NC Work From Anywhere, a program from NC State Cooperative Extension helping rural North Carolinians build the professional and digital skills needed to pursue remote and hybrid careers. Brightspeed is helping provide scholarships for residents in communities across eastern and central North Carolina where we’re expanding our fiber network. Because bringing reliable, high-speed internet to a community is only part of the equation. Helping people gain the skills and confidence to put that connectivity to work can create opportunities without requiring them to leave the communities they call home. As our own Sabrina Anderson put it, “From remote work opportunities to skills training and education, connectivity can make a meaningful difference, especially in rural areas.” We’re excited to work alongside NC State Cooperative Extension to help more North Carolinians turn connectivity into possibility. Every kid deserves the chance to feel like part of the team. 💛⚽ That’s what makes the TOPSoccer program at Lake Country Soccer in Springfield, Missouri so special. The program gives young athletes with disabilities the opportunity to experience soccer in an inclusive, supportive environment, pairing athletes with volunteer “buddies” who encourage them, play alongside them and celebrate every moment. For Brightspeed, supporting programs like TOPSoccer is about investing in the communities we serve and helping create opportunities for more people to participate, connect and belong. We’re grateful to Lake Country Soccer, the buddies who show up and the families who make this community so special. Because sometimes the biggest wins have nothing to do with the scoreboard. #TOPSoccer #LakeCountrySoccer #Brightspeed #SpringfieldMO @LCSoccerSGF
