I don’t really know how to write this without sounding emotional, because honestly… I am. A few months ago, on February 18th, I was lying in bed and I had this idea: What if anyone could create their own prediction market? I remember I couldn’t sleep that night. And for the next few days I kept thinking about it. I called my brother. We talked about it. Then we just started building. No company behind us. No big funding. No huge team. Just two students at Imperial College London trying to build something we genuinely believed could become big. We worked part-time while studying because we needed money to pay for the project ourselves. Servers, domains, smart contracts, development… everything. There were so many nights where we stayed up working on this thing while probably nobody outside of us even knew it existed. And that’s why seeing real people actually using gopredict.app now feels almost unreal. People are creating prediction markets. People are betting on them. People are posting about us. And somewhere behind a laptop, it’s still just me and my brother looking at each other like… holy shit, people are actually using the thing we dreamed about months ago. We’re at around $500K market cap right now. I know that in crypto that’s basically nothing. Most big traders probably don’t care about us yet. I know how ridiculous that sounds when you look at a project sitting around $500K market cap. But every big thing looked small at some point. And maybe we fail. I genuinely don’t know. There are going to be bugs. We’re going to make mistakes. There are probably going to be days where everything feels like it’s going wrong. But one thing I can promise is that we fucking care about this. This isn’t a token we created over a weekend and plan to forget about next month. This is our dream. I built gopredict.app with my brother from scratch after months of work, testing, updates, failures, and starting over. Two students, one dream: to build a prediction market app where anyone can create their own prediction market & truly be part of the platform. I believe creating memecoins was the meta of the past.
