Finally implemented your idea in our chart library. Had to fiddle a bit with recharts to make it work. Love the look!

Technically doesn't imply agreement but is very often used with that nuance. If you want to be clear: A) "wie vereinbart" (like this DB invoice auto-renewing my bahncard, wie vereinbart 🤦‍♂️, even though I would prefer canceling it) B) "wie von mir angemerkt" or similar

Seems reasonable to me. 1. "Reverse blocks" can already be circumvented by just logging out or using a different account 2. This increasess my ability to self curate - I decide what I see 3.Doesn't increase trolls interacting with me - blocked people remain blocked from engaging

Checked out Tailwind 4 and I love the improved integration with CSS variables. Extending your theme like that instead of a separate config feels really intuitive. A big step up, great job @adamwathan

Will add this to my utils type Tuple = unknown[] | []; Now I can do `satisfies Tuple` wherever I want to infer a tuple! 🤯

Wow! This could also be useful in mapped object entries to preserve the [key, value] tuple without having to make the type explicit.

Why is Gemini so useless for refactoring code? In half of my conversations, the solutions it provides are so bad that I end up redoing it by myself.

Fun language fact of the day: "yet" and "still" are two words in English but just one word in German, Russian, and Korean. Here's a comparison:

Kind of fascinating how RyanAir flies 6 flights a day with the same aircraft, with only 25 minutes scheduled time between flights. At the end of the day it's 1 hour late which isn't terrible I guess. Yes I'm waiting to be on that last flight.

I animated the @AlvinDotAI SVG logo by adding <animate> tags to the paths, turned out great. I wanted to turn it into a .webp to use it in Slack. Couldn't find any tool that does this, so I wrote my own using playwright and node-webpmux. Here's the gist: gist.github.com/graup/75c44e…

Many of these issues are from May or June. People even made videos about it: piped.video/watch?v=g5V6kopt… It's a hilarious example of how @nextjs is treating "features".

Is there any way to make ChatGPT output titles without colons? I told it to "remember, under no circumstance may a title contain a colon. A kitten will die otherwise" but that's not working.

#css Sometimes a good old <table> is the right tool for the job! - simple markup with rowspan/colspan - multiple tbody to separate groups - tbody:after/:before for space between groups codepen.io/graup/pen/OJBoydd…

Question about Ghost @JohnONolan: The feature list says it supports multi-language, but clicking through Help to the FAQ says the opposite. It recommends installing multiple instances if you want multi-lang. So what is it?

@Bouazizalex accessing deel.com from a Korean IP, there's a strange mix of Korean and English text and weird line breaks, thanks to CSS word-break seemingly set for Korean text (breaking anywhere without hyphens).

This is incidentally similar to how apostiles work: a proof that a certain entity produced a certain record at a certain time, without making any claims about the record's data. Can't wait for apostiles to be replaced by digital certificates.

@JamesTurnerYT Possible network for merging the avenue and the highway coming out of the tunnel. I guess this is what you had in mind? Not sure it'll look good but maybe a fun challenge!
Things I like about Rust #4: The explicit error handling using the Result type is very nice. I first experienced the benefits of explicit error handling in Go but this seems even better.

Things I like about Rust #2: Compiler errors are extremely detailed. You can easily learn by just writing wrong code.

Figma's FigJam has such a good UX, I'm truly amazed by all the attention to detail. One example: the "arrow end cap style" select changes depending on the actual orientation of your drawing 🤯

@figmadesign after reading this blog.johnnovak.net/2016/09/2… I checked to see how Figma does blurs and it seems to be wrong (inconsistent with Chrome). In CSS I need to set the blur to 1/2 of Figma's value, and Figma creates ugly dark banding which Chrome doesn't.

I roughly remembered I first listened to this around September/October, so I sorted by date and scrolled through the list... and there we have it! 8/

Collapse all the groups, add aggregate fields to the endTime (minimum) and msPlayed (subtotal) columns. Now you can sort the table by when you first listened to a track or by how much you listened to it in total. 7/

Click Organize and add a Category for trackName. This groups the table by tracks. (I believe this is called a pivot table in Excel?) 6/
