Same thing happened to me. He was my one and only agent i’ve ever had and the one who brought me into this industry. I trusted him and looked at him as a friend, only to find out he is a complete catfish and pathological liar. He sent me photos of a very handsome young man claiming it was him, but would always dodge any facetime calls. He claims to live in Hollywood but actually lives somewhere in New York. I used to always ask to meet him for lunch when I’d be in LA, and he’d give me tons of excuses like his truck is in the shop, or he’s got tons of things to do that day. He also frequently turns his phone off for hours at a time claiming he does it in order to “take a nap/get some peace/rest” because his phone just “never stops ringing.” Sometimes i would be trying to get ahold of him for important things and he’d just be MIA for hours. Tried to control me and tell me who i could hang out with in this industry and was CONSTANTLY bad mouthing models, companies and other talent agents. The only thing i can say that he was truthful about is he absolutely does have connections in this industry considering he’s worked for multiple agencies, i.e. Motley Models, Foxxx Modeling and World Modeling (before Jim, the owner passed away.) But, at the end of the day, he is a pathological liar and a creep. He is not professional in any sense. Matt Morgia is also not his real name. He changed his name to Matt, basically using a stage name like the talent do in this industry, to stay hidden from companies/other agents who know who he is and will call him out. I found out his real name through an agency fee payment I sent him via venmo, and when I brought it up he totally freaked out and begged me not to ever go around telling anyone his real name lmao. Dude’s a literal weirdo.
