Homing Spell – WIP
Dark Sister attacks from a distance with a deadly homing spell.

GILDEN — DEV NOTES #05
Retro Sound
Some of my earliest inspiration came from the sounds of classic games like Genpei Tōma Den and Gauntlet.
GILDEN's sound is inspired by that feeling.

GILDEN — DEV NOTES #04
Old Ideas, New Tools
GILDEN is inspired by classic games.
But I don't want to recreate the limitations of the past.
I want to take old ideas and use modern tools to bring them to life in a new way.

GILDEN — DEV NOTES #03
Every pixel in GILDEN is placed by hand.
Characters, enemies, items, and environments are all created pixel by pixel.
It's a slow process, but shaping this world one pixel at a time is part of how I make GILDEN.

GILDEN — DEV NOTES #02:
Smooth Controls & Retro Mechanics No physics engine driving the action here.
Inspired by 80s arcades—where every movement feels sharp, direct, and predictable.

Why 64 Colors?
GILDEN uses a limited palette of 64 colors.
I wanted to keep the retro pixel-art feel, while having enough colors for a dark fantasy world.
64 colors became one of GILDEN's rules.
