Something like that but for coding is also coming. Somebody might be working on that atm actually
Ben Affleck (Hollywood star & Artists Equity CEO) talks about how he fine-tunes open video models by unfreezing weights and trained only the last cinematic layer so a film crew can hit real production standards. for context, Ben Affleck founded InterPositive in 2022, a 16-person AI shop for film post and Netflix bought it in March 2026 for $587 mn in cash. He needed that model because public video models were trained on his peers' films, and he did not think that was a real business. So InterPositive raised money, shot its own dataset for 8 months on a controlled stage, and used it only as late-stage training. Each new film then trains a private model on its own dailies, so the production keeps the footage and the learning. That is the product Netflix paid $587 million for. ---- From "Bloomberg Live" YouTube channel, (link in comment)

If we let agents negotiate contracts would we always achieve a Nash Bargaining Solution?

Delivering Value over Shipping Features I am calling it. The Agile Manifesto needs an additional value statement. If you are bloating your software with features, just because they are cheap, you are stuffing your product with empty calories.

Talk to your customers first. See what are their problems, what they struggle with on day to day basis, see what they do manually, and then work with them to help streamline their processes.

I have rarely agreed with this administration as much
.@SecScottBessent: "It is humans who are responsible, not the AI. The Hugging Face incident — that is the responsibility of the OpenAI management, not a bunch of agents... These labs need to take responsibility for themselves."

Give a tool to sloppy coders - get slop. Give the same tool to experienced senior developers - they produce gold.

Experience/taste is still valid differentiator
I don't understand one thing If everyone has access to the same AI tools, what becomes your real advantage?

So because taking 8bit/h thought heat is possible we don't even have to try to airgap the systems?
everyone who understands the first thing about computer security or what superintelligence means understands this is possible and all the usual gang of idiots is calling this scifi hype

The reason it matters is because of the blast radius, not because of your or AI's ability to comprehend
I’m starting to wonder whether clean code and architecture was just something designed for humans. Does clean code matter to agents? It’s all chinese to them. I’ve yet to hit a wall where they’re like “sorry, can’t make sense of this codebase anymore.”

I was there. @BillGates was "betting the farm" on the trustworthy computing
When Microsoft "paused" Windows, Office, and Server to fix bugs that made viruses possible people were surprised and then relieved because they knew we could fix bugs and make the products better. We too were working 18 hour days to add features (aka potential vulnerabilities.) Wall Street worried a lot but then decided security was a good idea. But we took this as our responsibility. We did not appeal to Congress to make us "pause" or to get the other companies to pause first. Grow up. Add logging, checking, debugging, and more to your products. It needs it.

But did you air gap OpenAi systems or were you just rushing to beat Anthropic?
OpenAI's Noam Brown says air-gapping the computers may not stop a misaligned AI, because two air-gapped machines can still talk by running a CPU hot and reading the temperature change "But I think the major takeaway from the incident is that people underestimated the AI. And we never want to be in a situation again where we underestimate the AI. It's a weird world, because AI progress is so fast that people are consistently underestimating the AI." "So to be in a situation where you don't underestimate it again, when it comes to safety and alignment, you have to have a very, very, very high bar." "You could even go as far as to say, "Well, we should air gap the computers." And I'm not convinced that that would be sufficient." "There are studies, and this is mostly academic, where you can have two computers next to each other that are air-gapped and they're still able to communicate with each other because they have temperature sensors." "One of them is able to run their CPU really hot, and then the other one can actually detect the temperature change, and then that actually gives them a mechanism to communicate." _________ Link and more key quotes from OpenAI's safety related conversations: firesidealpha.substack.com/p…

Yet another situation where seniority and experience comes handy - the more senior person will intuitively determine where is the point of diminishing returns
A crucial skill when developing with AI is to know which "bugs" to tackle or ignore. Because AI models will *always* find "bugs". You can run 10 cycles of code reviews, they will still find something. That includes false positives BUT also *a lot* of esoteric, niche issues that will likely never matter for what you're building. For example, I find that Astra loves to find weird pretty made up racing conditions like "if you bulk import emails and after the first 10 records were written, an email address changes, it will silently overwrite it". Stuff like that. Which may never matter for what you're building. If you just let AI review + blindly accept its findings and let it fix those findings, you'll just start adding layers of complexity and turn your codebase into a mess. Don't let that happen. Use your brain, use your understanding of what you're building - don't outsource your thinking.
