It took two innings, but the Kaneland bats broke out of a two-game slump, pounding out 14 hits in an 18-3 road win over Rochelle in an Interstate 8 battle on Wednesday. | Click the image to read our story shawlocal.com/daily-chronicl…

You dont see many kids these days love just being apart of the team. Buck is the heart beat of KHS & a great example of our student body. He never cared about playing time, stats, or if he was in the starting 5. Athletics needs more Jake Buckley’s. ⚔️🏀 @KHS_Knights @Kaneland302
After being a rotational staple for Kaneland in the regular season, Jake Buckley's postseason playing took major hit. But that changed in a big way in the 3A third-place game, as the senior forward had a big hand in helping the Knights beat Leo 35-32.
