One of the things I’d love addressed by law is the inability to add your parents to your company health insurance scheme. Once they are senior citizens, you should be able to treat them as your dependents in every single way including being able to add them to your insurance

For my birthday I visited the grave of one of my favourite historical figures, the Rev. Peter Jones (Kahkewaquonaby). The inscription is now hardly legible. You can make out the word Ojibway and part of his name. The original wording may be in some archival records I catalogued.

It’s wrong to see history only as a slaughter bench. History is also a record of ordinariness, profundity and wonder. We can attend to the latter, even if our ‘realism’ would have us focus more on the former. In fact, the latter remains the measure of the former.
