When people say TLJ killed Star Wars theyβre not talking about its reviews or box office, they mean how the worldβs biggest crybabies complained so much about it that Disney panicked and pooped out TROS to try and appeal to them and it sucked so bad no one ended up happy.
I will never agree that TLJ killed Star Wars in any way.
The movie received an A- rating on CinemaScore. It was well reveived among critics. TROS did not suffer a drop at the box office that would indicate a decline in interest in the trilogy after VIII.
That's simply not true.

Episodes 1-6 worked because it was built on one man's passions, basically he was making movies for himself. The modern film making process is based on serving an imagined "fan", which is where it falls down, because Star Wars fans are cunts.

What young people should know is that if they charm their way into a job and they do their job well, they can get away with breaking a lot of the dumb rules they donβt like as long as they continue to be good at their job. Itβs what Iβve always done and it works perfectly for me.
