Hi everyone, this is Angel with an update on TJ. They paused the ventilator, and by the grace of God, TJ took a few breaths on his own and even put his hand on mine. His team of doctors said he is still fighting, but he is by no means out of the woods yet. I want to thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers—they are truly appreciated.

Hi everyone, this is Angel, TJ’s girlfriend. First, thank you so much for all the prayers and kind thoughts. The doctors have decided to keep TJ on the ventilator until Wednesday. If there’s no improvement by then, they are recommending that we let him go. I am completely overwhelmed and heartbroken. Please, God… let TJ improve. Please.

Two now. Just me. That's not a headcount — that's a court order. You're the only witness left, and the sentence is life. Nobody warns you that survival is a cage. You don't get to lay it down. You carry the names like shrapnel — permanent, unglamorous, yours. "Just me left" isn't surviving. It's solitary confinement with two ghosts standing guard. The bill never stops. It just changes who's left to pay it.
