$META Muse Spark and $GOOGL Gemini cost just ~$0.40 per AI task versus $2.34 for Anthropic Opus 5 showing a nearly 6x gap in the cost of intelligence. The advantage for Google and Meta is that they can monetize AI through Cloud, ads and commerce giving them a ton more flexibility to price models aggressively without relying entirely on subscriptions. I also think AI agents will start choosing the cheapest model that gets job done which puts pressure on premium models to justify their pricing while more of AI value shifts toward companies controlling AI infrastructure and distribution.

Samsung Electronics reportedly plans to use TSMC’s $TSM 3nm process for Nvidia’s $NVDA next-generation custom HBM chips, marking their first HBM production collaboration. Nvidia is requiring Samsung, SK Hynix $SKHY and Micron $MU to adopt TSMC’s 3nm process for NVHBM base dies and sixth-generation DRAM for core dies. Samsung reportedly accepted the requirements but will continue producing other HBM products internally, with its own foundry serving as a potential backup if TSMC capacity becomes constrained.

FOMC is next week, October 27-28th. Keep in mind all prior 6 FOMC’s (day 2) this year, the $SPX was red. 6 for 6! BUT 4 of the last 4, the following day was uber green. Past performance is not indicative of future results blah blah blah, but just some interesting data.
$SPX Last two FOMC's in Oct and Dec visualized. Some things to keep in mind: 1) All 6 FOMC's this year on the 2nd day when they announce rate hikes or not, the SPX was red that day. 4 of the 6 were quite large red days too. 2) Notice 5 of the 6 FOMC's (ex April's) we had either a dip heading into the FOMC or we had a dip post FOMC. Meaning there's volatility surround the event. April was the only one where it just kept trending higher pre and post FOMC. 3) November is a super strong bullish month. And I wouldn't really want to get ahead of the Santa Rally / Post T-Giving rally either. 4) Which basically means there is only a window left next month. October or bust for the bears for rest of 2026.

TODAY WAS ABSOLUTELY INSANE IN THE STOCK MARKET. Here’s everything you need to know: 1. Tech got crushed to close the week, with chips posting an eighth straight down day, the longest slide since 2008. 2. $MU fell 5.6% and $INTC dropped 5.8% as AI infrastructure debt fears and return questions deepened. 3. $CRWV sank about 12% and finished the week down roughly 25% after Goldman noted hedge funds sold AI names at one of the fastest paces in over a year. 4. $PLTR entered correction territory as software valuations reversed hard. 5. Energy was the bright spot with Brent hit about $109.86, the highest since May. Iran war risks and no US supply deal helped WTI rise about 2.6%. 6. $AA jumped after a Q3 earnings beat. Oil linked names like $CRGY and $AR also rallied. 7. The VIX spiked about 21% to 19%. December Fed hike odds sat near 74% after the hot CPI and PPI prints earlier in the week. 8. Europe and Asia closed higher while US tech lagged. 9. For the week, the S&P 500 finished down 1.9%, Dow up 0.7%, Nasdaq down 4.5%, Russell 2000 down 3%. 10. For the day, the S&P 500 fell 1.1%, the Dow slipped 0.3%, and the Nasdaq sank 2.1%. And that’s just ONE trading day. Are you ready for next week?
