I wonder if emergency sirens can go away when all cars are autonomous. The sirens are for drivers that are distracted or aren’t looking behind to see the sirens. AVs should never miss the flashing lights. Would make cities so much quieter

driver keeps all the revenue. passenger gets certainty knowing they get a good reliable driver
win-win except for uber that is cut out from the transaction
now replace the human driver with an AV. AV uses uber to find passengers
passenger has a great experience. figures out they can download the AVs own app and skip uber, potentially getting a better price and consistent experience
this is what will happen but across millions of AV rides. passengers will skip uber long term because it’s a better deal to go direct to the AV. uber is pushed out

Most of us dont grow our own food or make our own clothes or build shelter. We dont need those skills because society developed enough we can specialize in other things we care more about. Once computers can drive us around we wont need that skill either

The Uber people have no idea how hard it is to make a reliable AV service. They think lots of them will pop up and Uber will be the app to aggregate them all.
It's the most difficult product humanity has ever attempted to make. If even one company gets to scale it'll be a miracle. It will enable humans to get around cheaper and more comfortably than anything before it.
There's zero chance multiple others make it there. I don't know why people think otherwise

Tesla is pretty awful explaining challenges with robotaxi rollout. Making everyone guess instead of being honest about whats preventing faster expansion. $TSLA would do better with more transparency. Its an amazing service that improves lives. Can't wait for it to go mainstream
