On April 1st of this year our 6 year old living with autism was assaulted by his kindergarten teacher.. We were informed by his principal that the teacher had shoved our child three times and screamed in his face that's enough! Our child is 6 years old living with autism and a special needs class.. we live in Westbrook Maine.. the school system has been so tight lipped about the whole thing! They never called cps or the police! We had to do all that!! We have pressed charges against the teacher and the district attorney's office in Portland Maine is currently pursuing charges against this teacher.. We're putting this out there because when it comes to the schools and your children there's a lot that you don't know until you experience it... They will not discuss the matter with us at all! They call it a personnel matter.... I call it Bull! You would think as parents we have more rights than this!! This is insanity!! It's insane how the school can get away with not talking about the situation not mentioning the teacher's name and just acting like it didn't even happen!! I'm disgusted.. so should you!! I called Governor Mill's office several times in left messages and guess what? Did I get a phone call back? Not once! Thank you Mills!! I called some of the state reps and guess what? I got the same reply! These are the people that we voted into office... What a shame!! These people are supposed to be working for you.. The people in the school your governor your state reps.. I'm totally disgusted that my 6-year-old living with autism and a special needs class in Westbrook Maine can get assaulted by a grown man and most of the parties involved act like nothing happened because they're all afraid they're going to get sued!!! Watch your kids!! Mr D. Spring I hope you don't get a teaching job for the rest of your life!!
