Liverpool-based Beatles' Locationist Mark Ashworth taking a random look at the places around Liverpool with a connection to the Fab Four....however trivial!
“Days We Left Behind” is the first Paul McCartney song that anticipates the album The Boys of Dungeon Lane, out on 29 May.
It’s an incredibly emotional piece, gentle and nostalgic. Get some tissues ready, I’ve warned you… A big thank you Paul.

Not been down for a while so I thought I'd look at Dungeon Lane on Google Maps. Hidden in plain sight. That is some clever promo work! @PaulMcCartney@_MikeMcCartney_@thebeatles
Although not completely unexpected, I am still really saddened to hear of the passing of Len Garry, one of the original Quarrymen. The one who always had a mischievious glint in his eye, the one I suspect closest in spirit to John. I always enjoyed being in his company. RIP Len
On 18th October 2000, British singer-songwriter George Michael purchased John Lennon’s Steinway model Z piano.
We are honoured have the 'Imagine' piano on display in our visitor exhibition, thanks to George Michael's estate.
Book your visit to see it at strawberryfieldliverpool.com
The National Trust always leave the light on in John's bedroom on 9 October. A photograph I took several years ago reappeared today on social media, so I thought I'd pop along tonight and take some fresh photos.
Yesterday I visited John Lennon's former home at 251 Menlove Avenue and bumped into Steven Cockcroft from @BeatlesPod and David Shaw. 2 days in a row. What are the chances?
Fab afternoon / evening in Liverpool with these chaps, attending a celebration of Please Please Me at @beatlesmuseum_ hosted by Steven Cockcroft from the @BeatlesPod

What can I say about this man after being a fan for 42 years. We are lucky to have been alive at the same point in history. Thank you @PaulMcCartney for a wonderful night in Manchester.
A splendid Sunday afternoon exploring @johnlennon drinking haunts in Liverpool Bohemia with Phil, Steve and Andy, the most famous of course being The Cracke. Managed to bag the War Office. Result! @ArriveWithout

Visited Chester today and passed the Bear and Billet, where John Lennon’s grandmother, Annie Jane Milward (sometimes Millward), was born in 1873. She became Annie Stanley in 1906. @bearandbillet
