I know this will upset people, but it needs saying. I have met Nigel Farage. I do not know him personally, but I know the world he inhabits. We move through some of the same private rooms and members clubs, places most people in Britain will never enter. I have heard how wealth talks about ordinary lives. In my experience it is not respectful. It is amused. They laugh about how easily people can be provoked. They talk openly about which buttons work. They know people are exhausted, angry, stretched thin, and desperate for someone to blame. That is why the focus is always on boats while hands are quietly in your pockets.
I did not come from money. I did not grow up cushioned by privilege. I know what struggle looks like in real life. My circumstances changed, and now I see both sides of the glass. I sit in rooms with billionaires, politicians, and people who shape outcomes. I hear conversations most never will. My honest conclusion is this: they are not thinking about your future. They are thinking about profit, leverage, and control. Ordinary people are discussed as instruments or noise, something to manage or distract. I am saying this because I am tired of watching decent people be played.
Compare your life before Brexit with your life now. Look at your food bill. Look at what groceries cost elsewhere in Europe. Look at the tax you pay on imports. Look at wages that lag behind prices. Look at energy bills and mortgages. Look at the NHS staff who left after freedom of movement ended. Look at ambulances that do not arrive. Look at nurses and teachers relying on food banks. Be honest with yourself. Are you better off.
Farage helped build the conditions we are living with. Then he redirected the anger toward immigrants and told you they were to blame. That is the trick. The UK leaving the Dublin III agreement made returning asylum seekers harder, something critics warned would worsen the small boat situation. Someone with more than a decade inside immigration work told me they expected this outcome. I do not believe it was accidental. It looks planned. It looks deliberate. People are still falling for it.
Now the language shifts again. Austerity is promised to return even after Labour. Lower wages for young workers are floated. Private health insurance is praised, alongside systems like those in the United States and France. They are not defending the NHS. The on television and speaking in front of people actually talking about private healthcare and you still say they’re not pointing to the website. I know you’re desperate for a change That is preparing the ground for a system where survival depends on money. Those with wealth go first. Everyone else waits. Not me or you. Voting for that does not damage my future. It damages yours.
None of this threatens me. I will be fine whatever happens. I sit close enough to power to be insulated. Reform will not touch my life. It will touch yours. It will reach your children, your parents, and the years ahead of you. I am speaking because I care. Silence would be easier. Silence would mean watching harm unfold without intervening.
Some people think I am the enemy because I make them uncomfortable. I am not. The enemy is the one who feeds you lies, points at the vulnerable, and empties your pockets while you are distracted.
Reform will not rescue you. Reform has the potential to destroy you.
Think carefully while you still can.
