THIS DAY IN D&D HISTORY, OCTOBER 6, 1950 🎲
David J. Ritchie was born.
Blackmoor was D&D before D&D, and Ritchie helped bring it back to our tables.
He co-wrote Adventures in Blackmoor, Temple of the Frog, and City of the Gods with Dave Arneson, then penned The Duchy of Ten.
And LOOK at these covers. You’ve got swords, sorcery, and then suddenly you’re asking whether your armor class works against a laser. 😆
Today, a salute to a name that deserves more recognition in D&D history.
Four adventures. One gloriously strange corner of D&D. Which one did YOU explore?
