May: Emily joins Ostium as head of marketing. Big announcement. $10B vision, "cracked team," top-20 revenue protocol, "if you're a user or trader, DMs are open." July 15: ~$23.75M drained from the OLP. 3,666 wallets hit. Shortly after: she's out. No statement on the hack, no word for affected LPs, no defense of the team, no criticism either. Just a clean exit and a past-tense line on the resume. You can't be the loudest voice on the way up and a ghost on the way down. When you put your name on a product, users trust it partly because you vouched for it. That trust doesn't expire the day things break. Leaving is your right. Leaving without a single word to the people you invited in is a choice. If you work for a product, you own it. Even if you joined the wrong team. Especially then.
I've joined Ostium to lead marketing! There is a massive market opportunity ahead using blockchain rails to build better financial platforms for traders and investors globally I first met @kaledora in 2024 at Bangkok Devcon. In 2025, I visited the @ostium office where she looked me dead in the eyes and said she wanted to build a $10B company; I asked where can I send my (small) check. After a few months of learning more about the team and vision, I joined full time in March. Angel investor to employee arc activated What excited me most came down to the people, product, and vision: - The infrastructure was intentionally built to disrupt the opaque broker space and better serve digitally native traders around the world - Over 19m people trade CFDs, companies like IBKR are valued at $150B - market size is bigger than this channel - Passionate, intense co-founders that care a lot. War time mode CEO and CTO doesn't turn off. Yes, @contrarianmarco showed up in a suit in our first call - Getting to work with a cracked team of engineers, product developers, quants, and traders - supported by some of the best on the cap table - Top 20 revenue generating protocol in the whole industry - White glove customer service, a team focused on retention and users - @FlowTraderTM honestly needs to sleep more - Some more major product and partnership announcements in the works In the last two months I've been here, we've started running growth experiments across 8+ channels, brought on two more senior growth marketers, listed sixteen new assets, revamped the liquidity engine, and announced a data partnership with a major exchange. I'm having fun and there's a lot more work to do. Looking forward to this next chapter. If you're a user, trader, or growth marketer - dms are open

if you're doing P2P in India, make sure u are doing it through trusted sources only no app, be it FIU compliant or anything else can save you from getting scammed happy to guide you, but pls note i dont offer any services 🙏
I, apparently got drained!! Lost $4,500 to the Indian government. 💀 In the last 10 days, I’ve lost $4,500, all because I made a $1K P2P transaction through @binance . A few days ago, I sold $1K worth of USDT through Binance P2P. The buyer turned out to be a scammer, and because of that, the INR amount I received was frozen (put on lien). I understood everything up to that point, but then the same P2P amount was placed under a lien three times. Basically, my $1K was frozen 3 times in my same account under same UTR and it subsequently got multiple liens in my friends account too, whom I transferred a part of it. Making it a total of almost ₹4,50,000($4,500) whereas the p2p deal was 1lakh only. I contacted Indian @Cyberdost , but they had no clear explanation for this. I even transferred some of that money to my second bank account, and that account was also placed under a lien. I genuinely don’t understand what kind of mathematics the Indian government is using. I also have legal proof of the $1K earn amount and P2P transaction. In India, Binance P2P is one of the ways people use to trade USDT, yet this is what happens. Legally, only my $1K amount should have been frozen, but what can I do now. Absolutely, I’m living in the GOAT country. 🫡

it's a shame how Ostium has handled the entire situation made more than $44m in fees and raised $27m and can't fill a $23.75M hole? team didn't bother to focus on growth or audits, busy larping, hiring noobs for poor marketing
On July 15th, Ostium was attacked and roughly $23.75M was taken from the vault. OLP holders bore that loss, and for the two months that followed, you heard far too little from us. That was a mistake, and I take responsibility for the silence. We started Ostium four and a half years ago, right out of college, because we believed Real World Asset perpetuals would be the next killer product to come out of crypto after stablecoins. I believe that as much today as I did then. We pioneered the category. Before the attack we had the second-highest open interest among RWA perp venues and a strong base of core traders. But we were also spread across too many competing priorities, and had begun working to refocus the protocol. The attack forced a decision. We could try to restart everything we'd been doing as quickly as possible, or we could use the moment to build a more focused company. We chose the second. That took longer than it should have to communicate, because recovery, resource allocation, and the future of the business all depended on the same question: what company are we building from here? In trying to have every answer before we spoke, we left you without the information you needed at the moment you needed it most. That made a hard situation worse. I know there's been a lot of speculation about what we were doing. We went quiet, but we didn’t go anywhere. Since July, the team has been developing the next iteration of our trading stack from the ground up, rebuilding our operational and legal footing, and working through significant setbacks, all while sharpening Ostium into a more focused company. I know this plan isn't what many of you hoped for, especially those with larger losses. Meaningful recovery can only come from Ostium's growth, and Stage 2 will give affected holders a stake in it. Thank you to our team, and to everyone who waited for answers you deserved sooner. Our core leadership and senior engineering team remains intact and more committed than ever. Going forward, we will build in the open. We’ll share technical details early on, and will be more incremental than polished. We won't wait until every answer is in hand. We took a hard hit, but we're very much still here. Tomorrow, we'll share what we've been building since July and where Ostium goes next.

managed to sell 100 Variational points at $30, and I have placed more orders at $35 to all my OTC partners who want to sell their points at any price below $40 you must try @arcxtrade the product is phenomenol, and the fees is 50% less than what the OTC guys charge, that too with more liquidity in your hand
New market type just went live on ArcX. Mint Variational points yourself, at a fixed $40 cap, then sell them for any price at or below $40. Here's why this matters. 🧵

now that everyone is expecting a pullback because we're in a bull market, we will go higher thank you for your attention to this matter
Now that everyone assumes the bull market is back, this is exactly where I expect $BTC to turn. Hope has returned. Confidence is back. People think the worst is over. That’s usually when the market does the most damage. If I’m right, the next move will break a lot of people’s expectations. The pain will be massive.

Priced out my wedding and realised I could buy a flat in London instead. Instead I'm getting a DJ, a drone show and uncles who'll complain about the paneer. The cost keeps adding up, what next 🙃
