I analyzed search data from 200 websites. Here is what I found: Position #1 on Google gets 67.6% CTR. Positions #6–10? Just 1.3% 🤯 The biggest surprise is how much opportunity sits below it: > only 6.1% of impressions come from the top 3 > 51.8% sit in positions 4–10 > 42% are outside the top 10 So most websites don’t need to discover thousands of new keywords. They already have impressions...they just need to move existing rankings a few positions higher 📈 I also added the Outseo Organic Index. My project went VIRAL!!! 🚀 I built it in 3 HOURS, but that was the easy part. Here is how I successfully launched it: When Outbid.lol went viral, copycats appeared everywhere. Most copied it 1:1, so none had a reason to stand out. Others took the simple idea and turned it into a huge, complicated product. I chose a different path. I kept the viral leaderboard mechanic, but added my own TWIST to it. I started ranking websites by verified organic traffic. The launch was fast. Getting anyone to care was the next problem. @tibo_maker liked the project, so I simply asked him for a repost. He said yes, people started listing their websites, and every new listing made the leaderboard more interesting! More data brought more attention. More attention brought more websites. As simple as that. But virality doesn’t mean you can sit back. I still tweet, comment, share new rankings, and build features that give people another reason to return! My learning? Don’t copy the viral idea. Copy the MECHANIC, add your own angle, and ship before you overcomplicate it. Then get help with the first push...and keep adding more fuel 🔥
