I've been following Luca Williams-Barnett closely through Spurs' system and for me, his profile jumps off the page as one of England's best midfield prospects.
Here's my scouting report:

Position: Attacking Midfielder / Winger

Current Form:
After becoming Spurs' youngest-ever League Cup debutant late last year, he's made that step into senior rotation look seamless.
Coming off 6 goals and 5 assists in Premier League 2 last season. Plus that ridiculous 5-goal game in the UEFA Youth League, he was all over Spurs' pre-season tour and cup games this term. And he's carried it into England U18s as well. Momentum is real with him.
What I love about him:
That ambidextrous quality is special. Completely comfortable on either foot, so his ball manipulation and shooting angles in the final third are almost impossible to read.
In tight spaces, he's excellent. Sharp feints, really tight control under pressure, slides through those central half-spaces with ease.
And the output is there for a midfielder - I love his instinct for long-range strikes and those late runs into the box. Natural goal threat.
Where he needs to grow:
He's still 17, still filling out his frame. At times he can be knocked off balance by senior, physical Premier League midfielders, that's just development.
And out of possession, his defensive shape and press triggers need refinement if he's asked to hold a rigid block for 90 minutes.
Why he fits Carrick's United:
Carrick wants press-resistant technicians who link defence to attack quickly. That's exactly what he is.
Against low blocks, United have struggled when it gets tight. Williams-Barnett's two-footedness lets him turn so quickly inside and break lines without panicking.
And tactically, I see real fluidity - he can rotate between the No.10 and the left channel under Carrick's system, giving you that unpredictability alongside the core attackers.
I genuinely think this is world-class potential, who could be the face of United's attack for the next ten years.
United fans, do we go and raid Spurs for one of the brightest youngsters in Europe right now, or should that money go elsewhere?
