The bill to stop cities from taxing groceries was on Katie Hobbs’ desk. She vetoed it so city budgets wouldn’t take the hit. Instead, families did.
Now Prop 316 is all that’s left: freeze the high rates, cap new ones at 2%, and make politicians ask voters before they hike the tax on food.
