Interesting (and random) situational stat I dug up today about K-State's offense:
Against their three FBS opponents thus far, Wildcats have lined up 16 times facing 3rd or 4th Down & Goal to go.
When rushing someone not named Jay Harris on those downs, they're 1/7 with a TD.
When rushing Jay Harris on those downs, they're 2/2 with 2 TDs.
Overall (statistically speaking) K-State's redzone offense has been fine, but I wonder how many points they've left on the scoreboard by not utilizing Harris more in those tight field, short yardage situations.
Four times K-State has elected FG attempts (which were all made by the way) facing 3rd/4th & < 5 Yds. to gain with the ball inside the opponent's 15-yard line rather than run the rock with 6'1, 225 lb. Harris.
Something to chew on and monitor moving into heart of Big 12 play.
