One way I know I’m on the right path is through providence. Everything falls into place exactly when and where it should. The right person, ideas, amount of money, opportunities show up exactly when you need them. That’s how I know

Wait, what?
every website I run sits on one $5 Cloudflare bill > workers (compute) > d1 (database) > r2 (storage) > kv (cache) > queues (jobs) > cron triggers > email sending not $5 per site. $5 for all of them. Some people pay for Vercel + Supabase + Resend (all separate)

be careful in your pursuit of cheap tokens we've come across so many sketchy things that are out there with tons of usage remember you're hooking up your harness to these inference providers. they can and do crazy things like send fake tool calls to steal your info they also sell entire traces to third parties who resell again. a single key in the trace is enough to screw you if you cannot explain how someone can offer cheap tokens you should avoid it

This man has the craziest story on the planet
What if I told you today is my last day in my thirties? 😅 Well, well, well… it’s been one hell of a decade — full of emotions, experiences, lessons, challenges, and incredible growth. Happily closing this chapter, grateful for the journey, and genuinely excited for what’s next. ❤️ So from now on, please be gentle with me. I’ve officially earned the right to enjoy my midlife crisis with absolutely no explanation or apology. 🤪 Fast cars, crazy adventures, random decisions… just mind your business. 😂 They say 40 is the new 20 — except now I have experience, better taste, and hopefully enough money to make the bad decisions more comfortable. 🤣🥂 The thirties were one hell of a ride… but I have a feeling the best is still to come. ❤️ #40IsTheNew20 #AgingLikeFineWine #BestIsYetToCome

Japan and South Korea are templates of the future of the rest of the world South Korea, for example, took only 30 years to grow from a poor country to what it is today They realized that to advance economically they only had one resource: Human capital They bet on their top companies by subsidizing taxes, electricity, etc to nurture them They created a pipeline of workers starting from school These future workers are pushed to the limit to perform in school so they can land in these companies So much so that one student was caught saying, “you’ll make it to a top university if you sleep for 3 hrs, but you’ll make it to none if you sleep for 5.” And when they do eventually make it to these top companies, they are worked to the bone In Japan, companies hire for life Sounds good on paper, but in reality, it’s life imprisonment The Japanese often work overtime without extra pay, easily clocking 12hr or more days Here’s the kicker though They are expected, forced really, to go for after work drinks with colleagues and bosses If you don’t, your boss will take it as an act of defiance and you can be passed up on promotions and be deemed untrustworthy Even worse, the drinking can start at 9PM and last until 5 AM And you’ll still be expected to show up for work This leads to people blacking out on the road and pavements in suits A common sighting in Japan As you can imagine, this has led to some of the worlds highest suicide rates due to extreme pressure and stress Also due to the these working conditions and low pay, couples don’t have time or money to have kids and raise a family On the other hand The companies that were nurtured to boost the economy have grown massively For example, Samsung contributes 20% GDP of SK… government 15% of GDP To solve the dwindling birth rates These countries have spent billions of dollars but nothing has worked It’s so bad that in Japan there were only 700,000 births in 2024 and 1.6M deaths A historic two deaths for every single birth SK and Japan are boats with two holes Low birth rates and high deaths Japans president previously said their heavy investment to boost birth rates was a failure not only because it didn’t work, but also cuz they neglected preventing premature death But here’s the crux of the matter Since the toxic work culture is the root cause of these issues why can’t the government step in and put an end to it? Power! The companies that these government nurtured to participate in global economies so to boost the local economy Grew way too big and became way too powerful As an example, Samsung’s CEO was charged and imprisoned for bribing a former president However, he was released early because SK’s economy was tanking, so the president announced that the country needed him to steer it back How can one man have so much power? This gives you a sneak peek into how powerful these corporations are and why they’d never let their foot off the throats of the working class, or salarymen as they call them So the average Japanese/Korean remains trapped, overworked, grossly underpaid While the overall society crumbles right before our eyes

OpenCode is a beast especially on Linux. I installed it on Arch Linux and it installed *to my surprise* with a free model called Big Pickle. It’s such an incredible model and blends so well with Arch Linux since it’s so customizable. > Since nothing is off-limits Big Pickle writes scripts for everything u need done at OS level > I riced the Unix box using its suggestions and the aesthetics are clean > installed tailscale to access local models from VPS, laptop, phone > OpenCode + Linux really is agentic OS
Meta Muse Spark 1.3 is now free on OpenCode

I got Tailscale and here’s what it is and what i use it for: > it’s a private mesh VPN > Install it on all your devices you want connected together to establish a network > every device gets an IP > super secure since there are no open ports, public exposure > also encrypted network (WireGuard), it’s free, and handles NAT/both sides I use it to inference local models on my PC from VPS, laptop, phone 🤙🏽
Tailscale is getting easier to build with and build on. Embed Tailscale into apps, create tailnets through APIs, manage sharing through policy, and automate with the same APIs that power our console. See what’s new and what you can build → buff.ly/R3tjpHe

Why hosting your SaaS in a VPS is a must in 2026 Whether you’re building one or multiple SaaS products, having a VPS is a must here’s why: > Save costs on tools Probably the biggest advantage a VPS has over normal hosting is the ridiculous amount of money you’ll save Normal hosting (vercel, railway, render, d!bs, etc) charge you per usage: Frontend & backend hosting Db hosting Redis and workers are charged separately in most cases The more your app grows the bigger the costs u incur The more apps you have the higher the charges VPS hosting: You rent a server/ computer and it becomes your computer in the cloud Costs start at $5-7/month to several hundred depending on the specs of your ideal remote computer I’m renting a 2 vcpus, 4gb ram, 80gb ssd on Hetzner for $26/month This means you can host your website, db (mongodb, Postgres, nosql, etc), redis, workers, multiple SaaS, and any other services you need at no additional cost. > Freedom A VPS gives you total control which i think is its selling point in the age of AI agents. For example, besides hosting my SaaS and mongodb entirely on the vps, I’ve also installed Hermes in there. It acts as my apps supervisor. It reads my db to uncover angles, data correlations, assess leads, create reports and send to telegram, and so much more Yes, I’m fully aware you can do this on normal hosting but separately. But the advantage here is it’s all happening in the same box that runs 24/7 uninterrupted So many possibilities! The only downside of a VPS is you have to handle everything yourself: security, deployment, servers, logging, monitoring dashboards, etc Luckily, your favorite agent can help you set this up I’m also down to help where I can, just shoot me a dm.

> be Long Term Capital Management (LTCM) in ‘98 > a hedge fund built by former Alpha traders from Salomon bros. > like how Anthropic was born out of OpenAI > talk shit, do what u want cuz you’re kings of Wall Street > have Nobel Prize winners Robert Merton & Myron Scholes on the team > make +43% in 1995 and +41% in 1996 > convince Wall Street your models have cracked markets > start leveraging the fuck out of everything > $4.8B in capital > ~$125B in assets > ~$1.3 TRILLION in derivative notional exposure > roughly $30 borrowed for every $1 of capital. > MADNESS. > strategy is basically “these tiny price differences will eventually converge” > then Russia defaults in August 1998 > markets go completely fucking insane > the relationships your models considered almost impossible to break… break > how? the best math in the world can’t factor in human stupidity > LTCM loses ~44% IN ONE MONTH > capital collapses from ~$4.7B to under $1B > now they can’t even dump their positions without potentially blowing up the market > it’s now September 1998 > the NY Fed gets 14 banks in a room > banks inject $3.6B > take control of LTCM > not because LTCM was some random hedge fund > but because everyone realized liquidating $125B of positions at once could fuck everyone else too > the models weren’t “wrong” because they couldn’t do math > they were wrong because the assumptions about how markets behave completely broke > moves were described as 10-sigma events > events their historical models considered so absurdly unlikely that they basically lived in the “this should never happen” bucket > then it happened > finance markets blow up worldwide > banks remain holding a fossil

The did it!
Hermes is bleeding tokens by default! Hermes requests including startup (approx. 16k-30k tokens) hits the model’s API with ALL plugins, tools, and context-compress on long sessions by default. This is EATING up tokens that would be otherwise used to solve problems. Here’s how to solve this: Tell Hermes to route auxiliary tasks to the keyless free provider opencode-free (ships with Hermes), instead of hitting your paid model. Trim unused toolsets to the ones u use per profile. The system prompt ships the schema of every enabled tool on EVERY API call. You can always add more when the need arises.
