It’s not too difficult to not want 2.2 million people to die — half of them being children. You’re either asking the government to tell Israel to immediately end the siege on Gaza, or you’re advocating for genocide. It’s that simple.

President Compson is a definite amalgamation of all United States presidents, but with a marked accent in two decrepit embodiments: Trump and Biden, in no particular order.

LA is HOT. But does it have to be this hot? Did you know shade from a single tree can drop temps by 20° or more? Yet working-class neighborhoods like South LA, East LA, and the Valley get the least tree coverage and bear the brunt of extreme heat. Let's change that and finally cool things down for everyone.

🎥 WATCH: Massacre at Minab: The School That Became a Grave In the opening hours of the war against Iran, on February 28, 2026, the U.S. military fired Tomahawk cruise missiles directly at a school in the southern city of Minab. At least 156 people were killed that morning at Shajareh Tayyebeh school—120 of them were children and 26 were teachers. It will go down in history as one of the gravest war crimes committed by the U.S. government since Vietnam. Drop Site News conducted a two-month investigation into the strike, speaking with survivors, first responders, parents, doctors, teachers, psychologists, and other witnesses. Some of them had never before shared their experiences of that day. This is their story. youtu.be/9OmK0oeq5fc?si=x59v…

If you haven't worked with robots or in a manufacturing environment, this is really unimpressive. It looks slow and clunky. But if you have, you're probably giving them a call. Because you know you have a dozen similar work cells that are producing different components every day. And you know the cycle time on those machines is a few minutes. So even though it looks slow, you know one Digit could work 4-6 of these work cells at a fraction of the cost of a human operator or inflexible custom automation. And because it's flexible, it can be working something else tomorrow, and if it's down for repair another one can take it's place seamlessly. That's why Schaeffler is going to deploy globally, and others will too. That said, I'm convinced @agilityrobotics could double their valuation if the torso was brushed stainless instead of teal green. Come on.
The most impressive robot demo I saw at IROS was also one of the simplest. @agilityrobotics had Digit autonomously picking objects from a tote, walking them across the booth, and repeating the task until the tote was empty. I talked with the mastermind behind the demo, @chris_j_paxton, about how the demo worked: ~500 real-world teleoperated demonstrations for the manipulation policy A whole-body controller trained in simulation Deployed into a completely unseen environment at IROS Roughly 80–90% success in the booth despite crowds, harsh lighting, and plenty of distractions Chris was also very clear that this is still research, not something currently running in production. It was a glimpse at how quickly learned manipulation policies can move from controlled training environments into the messy real world. @lukas_m_ziegler you might find this convo interesting. #IROS2026 #AgilityRobotics #PhysicalAI #RobotLearning

Trade unions leading a grassroots movement for a 5% billionaire wealth tax in CA are being outspent 99.9% to 0.1% in TV ads by billionaires who oppose it. Despite that, it’s winning 48-38% in a recent poll. Billionaires have the money, we have the people. Let’s win this fight.

For more than two months, I have been working on a truly horrific story about one of the gravest war crimes committed by the United States since Vietnam: The bombing of the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab, Iran. It was one of the first targets struck in the opening hours of the war on February 28, 2026. At least 156 people were killed in the U.S. cruise missile strikes—120 of them were children and 26 were teachers. We spoke to survivors, first responders, parents, doctors, teachers, psychologists, and other witnesses. Some of them had never before shared their experiences of that day. It would be impossible to do justice to what happened in Minab that day with words alone. In more than 25 years in journalism and reporting on war, I do not believe I have reported on a more heinous single crime. Massacre at Minab: The School That Became a Grave dropsitenews.com/p/minab-sch… Please share this story with as many people as you can.

I appreciate the new ideas but don’t sleep on the fact that Rahm can spend so much time thinking about policy and doing media because unlike basically everyone else considering running for president, he’s not currently in office, has no power to actually do anything and is only accountable to the investment banking consulting firm he works for.

The right wing gets to hide behind "normal" because the right wing's entire thing is conserving the status quo and going backwards. If you are "left wing" you are inherently making un-normal arguments. Everything progressive starts off unpopular. The point is to MAKE it popular
