Wow. There is a traditional folk song/tale about a marriage engagement that goes wrong; the bride-to-be (a fisherwoman) throws the engagement ring into the sea; but it finds it’s way back to her via a herring she catches and guts. THIS IS JUST LIKE THAT (not really) 🙂
