I have bank accounts with SBI and Bank of Baroda. Whenever I visit, the branches are mostly crowded, especially rural branches where farmers come in for various govt schemes. Dealing with such crowds is a pure headache.

Bankers to Unions and IBA:

Another big joke on the entire country! Especially the #bank employees. @UFBUIndia agrees to withdraw the #BankStrike just after the PSU bankers worked on a Sunday, and two of them lost their lives in accidents.

If only IBA & UFBU will form committe without any Timeline, then....

My Take on UFBU Circular 1. High level Committee should conclude in Time Bound manner and Govt must be a Party of it. 2. PLI formula should be Uniform and not Zero for anyone. Members must be Justified with details.

DEATH OF BANKERS Neha Gupta, a Scale-II officer at Vashi Regional Office, Navi Mumbai, Union Bank of India, died in a road accident. Venkata Prasad, Branch Manager of Ranipet EAB Branch of Union Bank, Kancheepuram Region, Chennai, too died in a road accident. Both on Sunday. सरकारी बैंक प्राइवेट बैंकों से मुकाबला करते हुए बड़ा मुनाफा कमा रहे हैं , लेकिन कुछ मूर्खों को आज भी लगता है कि बैंक वाले “कुछ काम नहीं करते”, बस AC में बैठते हैं और शाम को घर चले जाते हैं। भाई , सरकारी बैंक में भीड़ सिर्फ बैंक कर्मचारियों की वजह से नहीं होती। यहाँ किसान , बुजुर्ग , महिलाएँ और ग्रामीण इलाकों से आने वाले बहुत से ग्राहक बैंकिंग की बेसिक प्रक्रियाओं से परिचित नहीं होते। ऐसे में बैंक कर्मचारी सिर्फ अपना काम नहीं करते, उन्हें फॉर्म भरने , प्रक्रिया समझाने, ऑनलाइन काम कराने और छोटी-छोटी बैंकिंग दिक्कतें सुलझाने में भी मदद करनी पड़ती है। इसके अलावा लोन , रिकवरी, KYC, ऑडिट, सरकारी योजनाएँ, पेंशन , जनधन , डिजिटल बैंकिंग और रोज़ की पब्लिक डीलिंग सबकी जिम्मेदारी इन्हीं पर होती है। एक दिन बैंक की कुर्सी पर बैठकर देख लेना भाई, सिर्फ पैसे नहीं गिने जाते , लोगों की समस्याएँ और गुस्सा भी संभालना पड़ता है। इसलिए बैंक कर्मचारियों को “कुछ काम नहीं करते” कहने से पहले उनके काम का पूरा हिसाब देख लिया करो।
