Fascinating how this works!
🚨 THE MISSISSIPPI MIRACLE THEY DON’T WANT YOU TO SEE  American 15-year-olds just posted near-WORST scores ever on a key global reading and math test. Meanwhile Mississippi, once ranked 47th in 4th grade reading… is now 9th. Adjust for demographics? NUMBER ONE in the nation in 4th grade reading and math. NUMBER ONE in 8th grade math. A Black child in Mississippi is 2.5X more likely to be proficient in reading by 4th grade than a child in California. They spend about $11,000 LESS per student than Massachusetts and they’re beating them. How? Science of reading. 3rd grade retention if you can’t read. Charters in failing districts. School choice for special needs. RAISED standards, not lowered them. Governor Tate Reeves: conservative reforms + accountability work for EVERY kid. Blue states keep dumbing it down. Mississippi raised the bar, and the kids met it. This is the model. Copy it.

This post has one audience: Chicago Aldermen Ahead of the Sept 16 vote on the PRO Ordinance it is important to remember one point.  The groups pushing this ordinance are the same ones who pushed Bring Chicago Home. Voters smartly rejected this tripling of the real estate transfer tax because they wisely deduced that it would chill the construction of new housing. LA has proven that this is exactly what would have happened in Chicago had BCH passed (see attached).  The group drafting this ordinance does not care about renters. They do not care about what will happen to the amount of new supply. Their instincts about the outcome of this ordinance are totally incorrect, just like they were with BCH, so anything they say should be met with skepticism. And we, the same people who over and over again correctly warned that BCH would put pressure on new housing, the people engaged in providing housing in this city, are saying unequivocally this ordinance will harm renters and the system overall.   This is a bad solution in search of a problem. What Mayor Johnson is doing is an election year stunt to help his abysmal approval rating and to exact revenge on his political adversaries in the real estate industry. Protect Chicago's renters by voting NO on PRO.   @aldermanscott24 @AldReilly @RaymondALopez @gilbert36ward @AldConway @50thWardChicago @LamontJRobinson @Alderman_Beale @AldermanHopkins @AldermanHMoore @AldMattMartin @AldermanTabares @ward32chicago @ald_nicolelee @ILforDowell @yancyforthe5th @AldGregMitchell @AldermanHarris @AldSColeman16 @mattoshea19 @Emmamitts371 @40thforward @aldnapolitano41 @AldKnudsen43 @AldLawson

JB Pritzker while you’re riding around the state in your cute little bus to attend your staged events, take a minute to read Brenda McLintock’s post. You will be reminded of what you already know and that is that you do not have the mental capacity to match Donald Trump You could never generate such a plan that will benefit the United States and the Western Hemisphere far into the future Hell you can’t come up with a successful plan to run Illinois let alone the free world and that’s why your narcissistic personality is made worse by your jealousy of Trump, wishing you could be him It’s no surprise that your family wanted you out of the business I just wish that we could get you out of Illinois as well
ARE YOU WONDERING WHAT PRESIDENT TRUMP IS REALLY DOING? Let me tell you what I see. I hear people asking why President Trump is fighting with Canada, dealing with Venezuela, using tariffs and talking so much about energy. Those are fair questions. When people are paying more for gas, groceries and electricity, they are naturally worried about today. I understand that because I am paying those bills too. But if we only look at the price on the gas pump, we are going to miss the biggest part of what President Trump is doing. Remember Clinton and Bush’s new world order? Well for more than 30 years, presidents from both parties managed America’s decline, the only way the new world order works is to tear down America and build up the rest of the world. They sent our factories to China, made us depend on OPEC for oil and allowed foreign countries to control the minerals needed to run our economy. They called it free trade, but there was nothing free about America losing millions of jobs while China grew rich and powerful. President Trump is the first president in my lifetime who looked at that entire system and said we are not doing this anymore. He is not just trying to lower gas prices next month. He is rebuilding America so no foreign country can hold us hostage for the next 50 to 100 years. His administration is negotiating a deal that could give the United States an ownership stake in more than a dozen Venezuelan oil fields holding around 90 billion barrels of proven reserves. If completed, that could more than double America’s oil reserves. That oil will not reach your gas tank next week. Socialism destroyed Venezuela’s oil industry, and rebuilding it will take years and billions of dollars. President Trump is thinking past the next election and planning for the future of our children and grandchildren. The fight with Canada is also about much more than a few tariffs. Canada has some of the world’s largest supplies of uranium, which is needed for nuclear power, and potash, which is needed to make fertilizer and grow food. At the same time, Canada has been sending uranium and potash to China while expecting full access to the American market. President Trump is telling Canada it cannot have it both ways. You cannot expect all the benefits of being America’s closest trading partner while helping strengthen Communist China. Canada must choose which side it is on. That is a major reason behind this trade fight. The tariffs are leverage, not the final goal. Canada depends heavily on the American market and cannot replace it. President Trump holds the stronger hand, and I believe we will win if Republicans stand behind him and give him time to finish the job. Now look at the whole map. The United States has oil, natural gas, farmland and manufacturing. Canada has uranium and potash. Venezuela has oil. Argentina, Chile and Bolivia have lithium. Brazil has iron, rare earth minerals and farmland. Mexico has manufacturing capacity. The Western Hemisphere has almost everything we need to feed ourselves, fuel ourselves, build our own goods and defend ourselves without begging China, Iran, Russia or OPEC for anything. That is what President Trump is really building. He is building an America where Iran cannot raise the price of every gallon of gas by threatening one shipping lane. China cannot shut down our factories by withholding critical minerals. OPEC cannot control our economy by cutting oil production. A war 8,000 miles away may still be a tragedy, but it should not become an American family’s mortgage payment. Our young people should be working good-paying jobs in American factories, mines and refineries instead of carrying rifles through another endless war overseas. I am not telling you every decision will be painless or that everything will happen exactly as planned. No honest person can promise that. I am telling you there is a much bigger plan at work than the media is explaining.

And here is: A pastor in the corrupt one-party state of Chicago exposing how Democrats hold on to power in blue cities and how they overthrew the United States government in 2020. “We found thumb drives. We found printers. We found corrupt Democrat judges posing as Republican judges. We have receipts for everything I’ve said.” In other words: the Democrats have turned polling stations into cheating stations.

@RaymondALopez … Hearing that @BallysChicago is backing out of a large portion of their casino/hotel project. Simultaneously, a number of the Mayors financial team is jumping ship. Seems like the city is teetering on bankruptcy… and we are not being told details🤔@BallysWatch

Everything resonates in this post. On top of this it was ok for @JBPritzker and @ChicagosMayor to get national guard during DNC to make the attendants feel safe, but not now? Shameful!
Ive stepped over pools of blood from a dead person in front of my parking garage twice in the last 3 years. One morning I couldn’t workout because gang bangers shot the windows out of my health club. Just last Sunday a kid from the trading floor got shot in the side of the head(gonna make full recovery I think) in the west loop. I can no longer ride the blue line L because it is a homeless encampment populated by aggressive and dangerous mentally ill drug addicts. I’ve seen people pummeled on the L and I’ve had to get off 3 times and take an uber from “medical emergencies” that turned out to be dead people…point is, if you’re some pampered upper crust activist who’s protesting federal help to make people safe you are a hateful cruel sociopath…

Are you kidding me? This level of financial recklessness is astounding - pure insanity from a bunch of clowns who don’t give a damn about this city! They collectively got Chicago a junk credit rating, and now they are borrowing at subprime rates? That’s downright impossible to wrap my head around! It reeks of incompetence!
BREAKING: Chicago City Council votes 26-23 to pass Mayor Brandon Johnson's $830M borrowing plan. The plan makes no payments on the debt in the first two years and no payments on the principal for 18 years after that. This backloaded payment schedule means the total cost of Johnson's deal is $2B. Paid mostly by future generations of Chicagoans.

Taxpayers: @ChicagosMayor & his minions are lying. Nothing they are proposing in their $830M bond deal is necessary because the administration already has multiple bond authorities from a Lightfoot-era that fund everything he claims to need money for (aldermanic menu, bridges/viaducts, sidewalk repairs, etc.) until 2027! Specifically: 💵O2020-5749 ($2.35 BILLION) 💵O2021-4788 ($660 MILLION) 💵O2022-3593 ($1.85 BILLION) Why the lies, deception, and race-baiting? Why the institutional amnesia from half the City Council? Why propose a new line of credit for things we already borrowed to pay. The answer is clear: Chicago needs a cash infusion fast and defrauding taxpayers is the only way to accomplish that goal!
