we recently got an EV here in the UK. it was not on our bingo card. didn’t realize what all the fuss was about, not sure i’ll go back to a daily driver using petrol. will certainly have a classic here and there. being able to charge at home is a game changer.

you know what would be wild, if Apple gave you access to a virtual MacOS environment with every iPhone purchase. would be a good use of their new servers. young creators would love it. 1 device would give you access to the entire (almost) ecosystem

insanely cool work
Real-time lens tracing experiment in three.js (WIP) Turns out you can generate metric depth with a 40 MB model on the CPU in the browser in about 10 seconds. That's enough to drive the lens simulation, no 3D scene needed. Might turn the 2D part into its own app. #threejs

I still use @omnigroup's omnidisksweeper. easily the one of the best free utilities for freeing up space.

i’m very confused by Astra. i don’t think it’s a very good coding model, and i think it’s particularly bad at swift UI. if Sol 6 drops in the next week - what exactly was Astra for? was it a mistake @OpenAI

BREAKING: Saudi Aramco has cancelled all of its September European crude oil allocations and is scrapping every cargo slated for late-September loading onward, with a European lifter saying no Saudi oil cargoes at all until November, per initial reports citing oil trading firm Onyx and market sources. That takes the world's largest exporter out of the European market for the rest of September and all of October, a de facto force majeure on Saudi crude to Europe from the 3rd largest energy producer in the world.

looking forward to this beta!
15 years ago, I and @pieteromvlee changed design, forever. We're ready to do it again, with something new, starting tomorrow.

all you kids don't realize they must have a scaling law for p(doom) (top secret, too dangerous of a plot to release) it is definitely exponential! not sigmoid! all the points on the log log log log plot says so!

Astra has been pretty terrible at swift UI, sol was much better and both still not as good as claude (i hate it, but it’s true) if anyone has any tips, i’m all 👂🏼

Some great ideas here from the cartel: - you need to give us employee-level access to your entire operation - if we don't think you're 'safe' enough, sorry we're shutting you down for 'safety' - China won't comply, but everyone else has to! or no chips! Brilliant stuff.
I agree with Dario that we need to pace the frontier. This has been a primary topic of discussions we've had at OpenAI in recent weeks. Committing to having independent evaluators with employee-like access is a great idea, and we will do the same. We'll have more to share soon.

i love this company and all of their products but every time i see prompting inside of an NLE it just doesn’t feel right. we have so much work to do on the UX side to really integrate these tools properly. we need to rethink the whole thing from the ground up.
