Helicon's C-Chain change isn't just “faster blocks”. under ACP-194, consensus can accept a block before its transactions finish executing. their effects are settled later, and RPC names like latest and finalized refer to different points in that pipeline. if you're building an indexer or a product that reacts to contract state, block acceptance and state availability need separate tests. a green block hash isn't the whole receipt.

i co-authored ACP-247. it's still a proposal it would let a 2,000 AVAX validator accept up to 48,000 delegated AVAX, vs 8,000 today but 6x capacity doesn't mean 6x income. validators still have to earn those delegations

$ZEC motto should be "now you see me, now you don't" perfectly encapsulates the concept credit @jswihart

one team in pescara tested a closed-circuit token on Fuji, then pitched using eERC now i’d like to see someone who wasn’t in that room try the flow. if the team has to stand beside them and explain every click, the tx was only the first test

after Helicon, setting a huge gas limit on C-Chain isn't free anymore gas charged = max(gasUsed, gasLimit / 2) a tx using 60k gas with a 200k limit gets charged for 100k. check any app that still adds a massive buffer

i said ZECAVAX and then didn’t explain the bridge. fair @redbridge_ZEC wants to bring ZEC into DeFi without selling it. i advise the team, and the testnet question i care about is what backs each ZEC.rbr and how a user can check it that proof matters more than the teaser

helicon auto-renews a validator’s own stake, not delegations if u delegate to one, your end date still matters even if the validator keeps running wallets should make that obvious before someone delegates

they want to upgrade bitcoin... into zcash @dorjidan you'll be happy i guess but i don't think it's gonna work, bitcoin is too ossified to upgrade at this point

there's a zcash grant proposal for a receipt that shares evidence about one shielded payment without handing over a viewing key this is the kind of privacy UX i want to see

pescara's team1 hackathon had one bar i really liked: show an actual action on avalanche during the demo otherwise it's just a pitch deck with an AI sticker

zcash’s NU7 plan is concrete: 25-second blocks and a timeline for testnet and mainnet. the question i care about is simpler: does this make private money easier to use without making wallets harder to trust?

the Helicon upgrade bundles continuous execution on Avalanche’s C-Chain with shorter staking commitments and auto-renewal. i’m less interested in the announcement than what validators and builders actually do with those new rules.

i have 0% usage, yet i'm using chatgpt in a codex-like mode. chatgpt chat now has full tool calling and thinking so i did it VERY inefficiently for almost a month now i can run 80% of my workflows in chatgpt (even routines) and only rely on codex or chatgpt work for more complex stuff this is bc chatgpt chat doesn't consume usage limits like work or codex so a lot of us can probably work very well with a pro 5x or even a plus subscription i'll test pro 20x a few more weeks with this new approach to see where it leads me, but i'm guessing i'll have 40 to 60% less token usage

helicon upgrade is live on avalanche, and should get a lot of quality of life improvements for users, exchanges and bridges but the most interesting effect will be on staking rewards, which will come down a few points in the next 90 days, and 2-day minimum staking period, with continuous staking attached a lot of institutions can now seamlessly validate the primary network, we only have to see if they will do it i think i can help in that, but i also prepped a research on how i think the price of avax will be affected by this new upgrade, but i don’t wanna share it yet the goal for the next 3 months is clear: onboarding as many institutions as possible, make them stake $AVAX and get yield and possibly get them a stake in some eco coins like coinbase is doing with AERO on base it’s a concerted effort, but honestly not impossible

remember the target mr. wonderful himself has said ethereum is not the one and only anymore a 70x from here if you have 15k in $AVAX right now and u believe in it, this is going to be 1M and it's going there, because ETH has done it

still a mystery to me how BCH is still alive and rocking at around #20 top market cap $AVAX should be atop all dead communities, it’s a top 10 coin and we all know it
