Someone tell me this isn't real 🥺 Woke up to 3 trial signups for Kiiwi. The app isn't even launched yet. I was setting up alerts to see if Kiiwi is actually valid. Visits were growing, people scrolled all the way to pricing, then dropped right there I checked the data. A third of my visitors are on phones. You can't install a mac app on a phone, so they just leave So last night I built a fix Phone visitors now get a 3 day trial for their email. They drop it, a license key lands in their inbox, they open it on their mac later Also reworked the site on desktop and mobile so it's more visual and less reading Went to sleep not sure any of it would work Woke up to 3 new signups and 3 trials Man, someone actually trying what you built hits different. 🥺❤️

Built a promo for Quill today with Claude Opus 5.5. The numbers: - 3 cuts: 15s, 30s and a 9:16 reel - ~5 hours, 5 rounds of changes after the first cut - 2 soundtracks written in code (the first one got binned, more below) - 5 real app screenshots on a 3d macbook - Now live on the quill homepage, 1.5mb on phones - Also Quill just crossed 106 downloads on Git What I learnt: the first track used the same synth sounds as Kiiwi's video and I caught it right away. every product needs its own sound, a new key isn't enough What to avoid: going too deep on polish for a free oss app. caught myself doing it around the 4th round What to improve: use real app screenshots from the start. the made-up ui looked fine but the real app is what sells it Also snuck Kiiwi into the mac dock.
