Did you know there’s a way to put power lines underground without large trenches? We use this type of low-impact, trenchless drilling to connect our customers’ homes to a more storm-resilient grid. That means more reliable power during hurricanes and severe weather — with minimal disruption. And when the work is done? We will restore our customers’ property, so it looks like it did before.

2,000 miles and counting - this year, we crossed the 2,000-mile mark of converting overhead neighborhood power lines underground through our Storm Secure Underground Program. Together with stronger poles, tree and vegetation trimming near our equipment and substation flood monitoring, these improvements help make the grid more resilient so it can better withstand severe weather and get the lights back on faster when outages happen.

✈️ Taking learning to new heights! Hallandale Magnet High School unveiled its newly transformed aviation simulator room after receiving our Classroom Makeover Grant. The upgraded space features state-of-the-art flight simulation technology, new computers and monitors, immersive aviation graphics and classroom enhancements designed to bring real-world aerospace experiences into the classroom. Some of the sweetest "thank yous" come from the youngest voices. 💙 First graders at Warfield Elementary School in Indiantown, celebrated Florida Lineworker Appreciation Day by sharing handmade thank-you cards and spending time with the lineworkers who help keep their community powered. During a Touch-A-Truck experience, students got an up-close look at the equipment, learned about electrical safety and discovered what it takes to keep the lights on every day. Thank you to the students and teachers and our lineworkers for making this a day to remember.
