Best Deadlock Graphics Upscaler for FPS and Delay 🚀
I tested upscalers specifically at 1440p. If there's enough demand, I will test for 1080p as well.
DLSS CNN, 2x. Best one overall for visual clarity with decent FPS and 3.7ms latency.
FSR2 TAA, 2x. Provides same FPS as DLSS CNN 2x, however a lot of shimmering appears on objects. I wouldn't use it.
Stretch at 70% render resolution. Gives best FPS and second best latency at 3.4ms. However some might not like "starry" / pixelated image.
Stretch at 55%. Provides best latency at 3.1ms (because GPU usage is down to 82%). FPS dropped slightly compared to 70% render resolution, even testing it a second time showed the same result.
DLSS Transformer, 2x. The worst performing one even at 2x resolution.
✅ In conclusion, DLSS CNN, 2x has the best of both worlds: image quality and FPS. If you are chasing extra frames, consider stretch at 70%.

🟩 Nvidia App Overlay + Recording Settings
Make sure to set your desired recording resolution and the quality.
🔴 Having bitrate at 20k+ for a 1080p 60FPS video is not only tanking the performance, but makes the record file way bigger.
Use AV1 encoder for better video quality as well as lower file size. Before using it, verify that your editing software supports AV1 format.

🧪 I tested most used FCLK frequencies used for AM5.
Average increase of 1-1.5% FPS in Deadlock going from 2000 to 2100 MHz FCLK. 2200 MHz was unstable. Audio disappeared after 10 minutes of playing and showed no increase in 1% and 5% FPS. Valorant didn't scale much.

The second reason is the lack of time put into stress testing. There's a lot of error correction on AMD platform in particular as well as Intel. To validate an overclock, you need to spend 10+ hours in 1 stress test and then use other tools just to make sure.

4⃣ Angle Snapping - Off. Artificially straightens your movements.
5⃣ CPI Downshift - Force Off. Only for 7500+ CPI, on 3200 it does nothing.

🧪 AMD AM5 Bank Refresh Modes Benchmark. Normal vs Mixed
🎯 Normal showed 7% better 0.1% FPS while delivering the same 1% and 5% results as Mixed.
Mixed mode often causes instability on anything that is not Hynix memory chips. For Samsung / Micron normal mode is advised.
