I was in the 2nd grade when 9/11 happened. My dad and his crew went into the city to try to get as many people out as they could. Nearly all of his crew has passed from 9/11 related illnesses and my dad has had 3 bouts of extremely rare cancers, cPTSD and other consequences (...)

from that day. While most people remember today once a year, I've remembered it EVERY DAY for the last 25 years seeing how much loss and pain he's had to deal with over his lifetime. He's never spoken to me ONCE about that day, and I'll never push him to.
