See now I didn’t think it was that hard to understand that what I meant in this tweet was that Verstappen matched Schumacher’s benchmark, but calling it “Schumacher’s record” feels a bit disingenuous for reasons which I don’t even think I should elaborate on.

Also “the gamble paid off” sort of yeah, however that was Lewis’ gamble. The team backtracked real quick and wanted to pit him and put him on inters on like lap 3, HE was the one who decided to stay out anyway and rebuilt his race on his own.
