Having a big heart will always be the best and worst thing about me. I care deeply, give without thinking twice, and go out my way for people because that’s naturally who I am. The problem is everybody doesn’t appreciate that kind of love, and some people will take everything you give if you let them. I’ll never regret having a good heart though. I just learned everybody doesn’t deserve it.

hardest lesson I’ve learned is that you can love somebody with your whole heart and still not be loved the way you deserve. You can communicate, forgive, be patient, and genuinely do everything you can, and sometimes it still won’t be enough. You can’t make somebody choose you.

I think it depends on the issue and the person. Some things can be worked through when both people genuinely want to change and rebuild. But if you’re the only one fighting for the relationship, you’re not “working through it,” you’re exhausting yourself.
