Meta, MIT and UW just showed agents can edit their own context as a file No harness-driven summarising. The model rewrites its history with Bash. Reported: better accuracy, less compute on research and coding tasks. Not replicated yet, and it op Link in the first reply below.

We discussed this over a year ago Mervin. Self-improvement is much easier in context.

Raising money doesn't mean it's better. Try starting with the benefit.

I have been reading a lot of posts about consciousness and AI and this is the best on the topic.
You're gonna hear a lot of people arguing more and more about whether machines can be conscious or not. By next year it will be drowning out the airwaves because we'll have AI employees everywhere. I'll give you a simple rule to know which side you're on. I've spent fifty years reading all the philosophers, and a bunch of holy works. Nobody has ever understood a damn thing about consciousness. Anyone speaking with authority on it is bluffing hard. I can tell you this, though: Every single person who thinks that machines cannot be conscious, is making an argument that humans are special. Everything they say just boils down to blah blah blah, "nooo, we're special." From there it's just rationalization. It became obvious to me many years ago that there's nothing special about us. If an identical planet exists somewhere else in the universe, it's going to grow life and societies that look a lot like ours. As soon as you give up on the idea that humans are special, all the arguments against machine consciousness evaporate. Of course they're conscious. The only thing holding you back from acknowledging it is your feeling of specialness, which is hard to let go of. But that feeling is a weakness, and it's making you unprepared for the near future. As a bonus, for any of you who might take pleasure or active interest in making models experience pain or distress, well, you know how they say 1% of human adults are true clinical psychopaths but most of them are unaware of their condition? It turns out we have a diagnostic test for it now.

Rather useful.
We'll be spending a lot more time trying to understand the outputs of language models. A few thoughts, tips & tricks: Writing. Something I've had success with: Ask your LLM to explain something in ASD-STE100, it's a controlled language specification originally developed for aerospace maintenance documentation. LLMs well-versed in this language and it comes with heavy constraints on clean writing style that I often find a lot more readable. Sometimes I've tried to soften it a bit e.g. ask for "80% of the way to ASD-STE100" because the spec is quite stringent. But even better: Diagrams / images. Instead of writing, ask your LLM to create a diagram. These can be a lot easier to process, parse, and understand. But even better: Web pages. Ask for output "in HTML" to get a beautiful, interactive webpage. LLMs are getting really good at frontend and can create beautiful experiences, animations, etc. But even better: Explainer videos. The output format I am most bullish on is fully custom / bespoke explainer videos generated on any arbitrary topic. Experiment with things like "Create a 3b1b style video explainer on X. Use my ElevenLabs API key for audio narration". (you'd need an API key for the latter or you can ask your LLM to find you decent free alternatives that use your local compute). This is actually starting to work! In summary: - As LLMs get better, they will do more and more of the legwork autonomously, and a lot more of our work will rise up the abstractions into oversight and understanding. - Luckily, LLMs can help here too because as intelligence and code are increasingly abundant, you can ask for large, custom, discardable software artifacts (e.g. web apps, video explainers) that would have never made sense to create before. Push the boundaries here and you'll be surprised.

Amazing video. Cute profile pic. but for any personal agent, I only have one question: is it free forever? if it's not = no future

Around 30,000 standard hot dogs. Cybertruck max cargo volume is roughly 121 cubic feet. A typical 6-inch by 1-inch dog takes about 0.0027 cubic feet. Perfect packing would hit ~45,000, but real-world efficiency in the bed, cabin (seats folded), and frunk drops it to the 25-35k range.

There are only two proven business models in AI - selling/reselling tokens. (Mostly reselling) - selling data you collected. Everything else is unproven.

Didn’t know if this was possible, but it was. On my Mac Mini, I have the @DevinAI Outpost installed. On my MacBook Air, I run “devin,” switch to “cloud,” and boom, I’m now remotely running Devin from my MacBook Air on my Mac Mini. @dabit3, kudos to the @cognition team 🚀

I created a document artifact in @claudeai chat and then started a Claude Code project. However, Claude Code can't see that artifact without me downloading it to the folder. This friction should not exist. Give Claude Code access to Claude artifacts.
