Something I love about Alix is that she gets Lara is confident and witty, but also that Lara’s desire for adventure and thrill overtakes any control she has (which is how things often go wrong).
She understands that Lara will be vulnerable to her own enthusiasm and I love that.

I want to be clear, accessibility is great. The Sims shouldn’t move to be a high end franchise.
*But* there is a difference between being accessible and holding developers back by forcing them to support 20 years of hardware in fear of missing out on a sliver of extra profit.
I fail to see your point here. I agree that EA is greedy asf and deserves every bit of dirt they get, but The Sims 4 being accessible by a large majority of the world is not a bad thing?

We know that devs have to support the minimum specs which means every consideration has to be met for 20 year old hardware to still play the game.
At some point you have to cut some losses for progress.
12 playable lots! Each neighborhood has four lots. We always determine how many is best for each pack for performance (people with minspec PCs need to play too) and will weigh against gameplay needs. It’s always a series of thoughtful and carefully considered conversations.

EA set the system requirements. Maxis have to adhere to the system requirements, and this would push them over.
The Sims has and always will be held back by EA’s greed. Not the developers.

I think this is so funny in retrospect.
Not to be rude, but the Tomb Raider franchise isn’t as relevant as it once was. There are zero benefits in gatekeeping trailers by showing them to a handful of fans at small events hoping to generate buzz. It isn’t GTA. Seeing LOA’s reception so far, I’d rethink this approach…😬
