three years ago today i made a decision that changed the course of my life forever
i say this not to posture or to promote any way of life but as a point of recognition for how much my own has changed.
getting sober saved my life, and if you've ever thought about what life might be like without the hangovers, the anxiety, or the endless wreckage and harm i faced and caused on a daily basis, know this:
to anyone who is sick and tired of being sick and tired:
you don't have to feel this way any longer or ever again. it can and does get better. if you decide you want to make a change, you can live a new kind of life. no one is beyond saving. no life is too far gone. let the change in my life be an example. help is not just available, but it is freely given to any and all who would ask for it.

was JUST talking to a client about this yesterday
Creatives are dying for any reason to cancel Creative Cloud, won't take much more at this rate.
This looks like yet another insanely well executed nail in the legacy design tool coffin -- only the beginning.
Your agent can now create editable designs and bring them into motion. No Figma or Canva required.
Introducing Tesseract for design.
Ask your agent to create a design system with typography, colors, and layouts, then bring it to life with motion, footage, and sound. Keep refining individual layers as you go.
One workflow, from the first design to the final editable video.
Tesseract is free. Try it with Opus 5.5 or GPT-6 Astra.

We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so.
Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training.

Introducing Tapkit
Tapkit is a Mac app that lets your agents use your iPhone. Tell it to do anything and it can use your phone to do it.
We've been iterating on Tapkit over the last few months with our earliest users and finally feel like it's ready for general use. Today it is easy to use, supports any agent, and can even use multiple iPhones at the same time.
There are so many great things that we can do with this new primitive, but I didn't want to wait any longer to share it with you.
Try it now: tapkit.ai
I dropped out of high school (never went to college) -- this is ridiculous doomerism, nothing is so set in stone
The sooner you stop pretending like it is the sooner you can focus on what lights you up.
life is long and you're here to explore
Don't start a startup expecting you'll go to college (or back to college) afterward. Those two paths are incompatible, and you're lying to yourself if you try to pretend otherwise.
It’s good to think deeply about what happens if everything goes wrong.
As long as you spend an equal amount of time thinking about what happens if everything goes right.
It really is as simple as
1 physical win (workout, clean your space, iron your clothes)
1 spiritual win (pray, meditate, church, read)
1 creative win (make art, build shit, play chess, journal)
Do this every day and you will have a full and rich life
your imagination already beats out your ability to execute every day and it’s not even close
the best photographers/designers/creatives won’t be judged on how well they can frame a shot, but how well they can conceptualize an entire scene in their mind and put it into words
Opus 5.5 on xhigh effort: "make a dynamic 30-second motion graphics video that shows what an incredible motion designer you are, create all graphics from scratch as if you were a niche branding agency for startup founders, like it's your showreel for a résumé. go all out."
