Every once and a while I will get students from my Alma mater who have STEM, CS majors reach out on LinkedIn asking me if I think they should change majors to something nontechnical like finance or general business and I feel the need to talk them off the ledge. The market is very tough for everyone, including STEM majors but there is a lot of irrational decisions being made because of it.
