Pete Hegseth is moving to cut about 20% of the general and admiral jobs. That’s the efficiency Americans voted for, including me. It’s a good thing. The Pentagon doesn’t need another layer of brass to lose a war on a whiteboard. The Secretary of War told the Post the point is less bureaucracy. Rank isn’t the same thing as command. A lot of those stars exist so offices can keep offices. If the cut is real, the first noise will come from people whose title is their product. Let them scream. A thinner top floor is how you find out who can actually defend America. Washington sells “support the troops” and then parks a career on top of them. Cutting the extra stars isn’t an insult to the military. It’s respect for the patriots who still have to do the job.

Thomas Aquinas on the nature of Islam from the beginning: “The point is clear in the case of Muhammad. He seduced the people by promises of carnal pleasure to which the concupiscence of the flesh goads us. His teaching also contained precepts that were in conformity with his promises, and he gave free rein to carnal pleasure. In all this, as is not unexpected, he was obeyed by carnal men. As for proofs of the truth of his doctrine, he brought forward only such as could be grasped by the natural ability of anyone with a very modest wisdom. Indeed, the truths that he taught he mingled with many fables and with doctrines of the greatest falsity. He did not bring forth any signs produced in a supernatural way, which alone fittingly gives witness to divine inspiration; for a visible action that can be only divine reveals an invisibly inspired teacher of truth. On the contrary, Muhammad said that he was sent in the power of his arms [weapons]—which are signs not lacking even to robbers and tyrants. What is more, no wise men, men trained in things divine and human, believed in him from the beginning. Those who believed in him were brutal men and desert wanderers, utterly ignorant of all divine teaching, through whose numbers Muhammad forced others to become his followers by the violence of his arms. Nor do divine pronouncements on the part of preceding prophets offer him any witness. On the contrary, he perverts almost all the testimonies of the Old and New Testaments by making them into fabrications of his own, as can be seen by anyone who examines his law. It was, therefore, a shrewd decision on his part to forbid his followers to read the Old and New Testaments, lest these books convict him of falsity. It is thus clear that those who place any faith in his words believe foolishly.” —Thomas Aquinas, Summa Contra Gentiles I.6
Islam did this. Never forget.

Biggest value of the electoral college? It serves to isolate the fraudulent votes in blue states from cancelling legitimate votes for red states — hence why the democrats hate it so much…

Abraham Lincoln's famous reflections on the spirit of liberty come from his Speech at Edwardsville, Illinois (nps.gov) on September 11, 1858, during his historic debates with Stephen Douglas. Key Ideas from the Speech •The True Bulwark: Lincoln argued that a nation's defense and independence do not rely on armies, navies, or military strength, as those can be turned against liberty. •The Love of Liberty: He stated that our true reliance and defense rest in the love of liberty planted in people's bosoms. •The Danger of Destruction: He warned that destroying this foundational spirit of liberty plants the seeds of despotism at our own doors.

Requiring an ID and proof of citizenship to vote is common sense. It’s time to pass the SAVE America Act. RT if you agree.

The "democratic socialists" (i.e. communists) are clearly of the intent to confiscate the property and wealth of others (see Washington, California, NYC) -- and they are currently having some success at the local/state level in the implementation of such policies. However, such plans at the federal level would currently run into a wall (the 16th amendment, however, did enable the federal government to pass progressive "income" taxes, allowing a marginal tax rate on income approaching 100%). Their path to victory on the seizing of one's property should likely be held to the amendment process from a Constitutional basis -- but as this would likely be nearly impossible in the short/medium term -- they are instead looking to pack the Supreme Court with fellow leftists to interpret the "living constitution" in a way to allow such taxes without a new amendment. Of course, were they to succeed, they would eventually be like the dog which catches the bumper of the car they are chasing, as any country which proceeds down the path of collectivism always moderates at best their standard of living (see Argentina), and frequently destroys it (see Venezuela, North Korea). See the following chart of LATAM country wealth since 1900:

Grok: Where in the US constitution does it state that the Senate needs 60 votes to pass legislation? Nowhere. The US Constitution does not state or require that the Senate needs 60 votes to pass legislation. en.wikipedia.org The Constitution generally provides for simple majority votes in both the House and Senate for passing legislation (with the Vice President able to break ties in the Senate).

Divide the U.S. into a socialist and a capitalist country (see Germany or Korea) and let people self select into their preferred economic system. Within a decade, there would be a dictatorial and impoverished country and a free and prosperous country, and people risking their lives to re-do their decision…

Before Marx poisoned class analysis, classical liberals like Charles Comte and Charles Dunoyer identified the real divide in society between (1) net PRODUCERS (the productive class) and (2) net CONSUMERS (the parasitic class that lives by state coercion and plunder). The consistent pattern is that takers almost always demand more from makers. >retirees push for higher Social Security and Medicare benefits funded by younger workers who will never receive the same deal >welfare recipients advocate for higher taxes on working families to sustain their benefits >public sector unions extract lavish pensions, early retirement, and gold plated healthcare that private sector workers are forced to subsidize >student borrowers demand “debt forgiveness” that shifts their obligations onto people who didn’t borrow or who already paid their loans >corporate cronies lobby for bailouts, subsidies, tariffs, and regulatory barriers that shield them from competition at everyone else’s expense >government bureaucracies and grant-dependent NGOs grow by creating new problems that require more tax funding and more dependents This is the direct product of the redistributive state, which systematically expands the parasitic class by manufacturing new claims on other people’s production. Social Security is the clearest example. Seniors were told they paid into a trust fund. The money was spent the moment it arrived. The system survives only by forcing the next generation to pay higher taxes or accept debased currency. It is a textbook intergenerational Ponzi scheme, and it is just one program among dozens. As the state keeps assuming more functions (healthcare, housing, education, energy, childcare, eldercare, and on and on), it keeps creating larger constituencies with a direct financial interest in bigger government. The productive class shrinks under the weight while the parasitic class grows. Tensions between the two intensify. The State finds a new scapegoat (muh billionaires). The race to the bottom goes on.
89% of senior citizens support raising taxes on younger workers to maintain their benefits. The median primary voter is 65.

Americans don’t want FISA 702 without a warrant They want the SAVE America Act If you’re with me on this, post one of these: 🇺🇸
We need to get the FISA Section 702 program reauthorized quickly so that the intelligence community has the tools they need to keep Americans safe during a summer of high-profile celebrations.
Community note
Fisa warrants, by government admission in the pclob report, overused against US citizens with no connection to terror, useful in a very small number of cases that they are used in (less than 2% by government reports) and significantly violate constitutional guarantees documents.pclob.gov/prod/Documents… legaljournal.princeton.edu/fisa-and-the-u… jstor.org/stable/resrep1…

NATO was started to protect the Europe West from Europe East and the common market (forerunner to the EU) was designed to bring Germany closer to it's neighbors and prevent its predilections for militarizing and consuming parts of its neighbors. But, whats old is new again?

NATO has existed to be a counterweight to USSR/Russia. Given Russia's vastly diminished ability to project power westward due to its Ukrainian adventure, Europe no longer feels as dependent on the US as part of their defense structure, which really obviates the need for the US.
