Last night, I asked in my Topstep video: Why wasn’t the long at the Globex open valid according to my strategies?
To keep it simple, we broke CP but never got the retest my strategy requires. PA became very choppy, so I wasn’t interested in chasing a long.
I waited until Asia opened and price started stalling around 31,200. I didn’t catch the top. I entered short once we fell back below R3 and value area high, added to the position, and targeted CP at 31,049. That trade was based on ETH data.
For New York, I switched to RTH data. Price had been ranging around value area low, which coincided with RTH S3 at 30,989...the black line marked on the chart. If you have my strategies, you know that with higher-range narrow pivots, I look to long S3, targeting R3 first and then R4.
