Once you stop worrying about all the things holding you down and start living for the things that lift you up, you realize some things were meant to stay beneath you.
Thank you for supporting FLY, from the bottom of my heart.
I can’t wait to spread my wings with you ❤️

also listen, we went through an oversaturation of "brown haired white boy has silly adventure with friends" cartoons for DECADES
i think we can survive an "oversaturation" of "queer girl leads saving the world with the power of friendship" for a bit
it shouldn’t be a surprise that the most viewed and prominent indie shows with fandoms are lore driven shows made for gay teens, not just for the above reason, but also because gay teens tend to be the audience that is online and the most active within fandoms

Many black kids have spent their life clingy to racially ambiguous characters to feel represented. Most will never understand what it is like to never see the world reflected in your image. I was 15 the first time I saw a Superhero (Black Panther) who looked like me.

So excited to be back at lightbox this weekend with @zomastudios , Mmanwu was the first project I ever worked on and I’m still so proud of what we did with that film! It gave me the wings to make FLY so it’s extra special that I’ll get to share some of that world this weekend!

Hello!!! I'm Jay an artist and illustrator looking for my next opportunity in storyboarding, revisions, or production.
I know I cannot count on a miracle. But what I can count on is my eagerness to learn and grow despite how the landscape changes.
