This morning we went out and captured more photos of the AMAZING birds here in the Pantanal of Brazil. It is photo overload!

It is really hot here in the Pantanal, but the photos are pretty hot too!!! This is just from this morning. We are having fun!

We arrived in the Southern part of the Pantanal with about 30 minutes of light left. We managed to capture images of the Blue and Yellow Macaw with the last remaining sunlight. So much more to come!!!

Today, we all took a day tour of Sao Paulo, Brazil and tomorrow is the start of my Pantanal Photo Tour. Let the fun begin!

I just looked up at the moon and decided to try putting a 2x extender on my Canon RF 100-500mm lens to shoot at 1000mm for the first time. You can see every crater. Amazing!

I was looking at the availability for my upcoming photo tours and noticed something kind of funny.

September 11 was a day that I will never forget, and being in NYC two months later and seeing the aftermath was heart wrenching. I captured some images and then just had to put the camera down and reflect. Let's hope this never happens again (anywhere)!

Yesterday I tried something new. While photographing a bat mitzvah, I saw the opportunity to do a zoom roll (setting the camera to a 2.5 sec exposure) to create a "god like" image. Different and fun!

I took this photo almost 20 years ago. That is Nat Geo photographer (and friend), Jay Dickman, standing in the silhouette behind this hot air balloon being inflated. Still a favorite photo of mine.
