I had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of a green-winged teal hen this morning while we were waiting for more of her green headed cousins on the NoDak prairie this morning. Dabble On Sister!

A buddy took this as we were scouting pheasant holes this afternoon. I guess it looks like you’d expect 🤣 Me working one side and Gem working the other 💪🏽

Ever have a bee in your beverage and get stung on the lip when you take a drink? Second time for me and I could feel and pull the stinger from my lip. Still got a couple pumps in through. Hurts like hell for a long time!

They were all down in holes today but Gem got ‘em up & out for me. NW SD had a good year! Lots of bird contacts today and Gem has a nice slow, gun-range flush pace and will still throw a point when it’s thin. ❤️ Kinda weird shooting *down* on pheasants but there ya go 👊🏽

45 mph howler today so best we could do is scout. There aren’t many roads on the Res and you can sorta see our track. Lots of really good choices for tomorrow.

Gem did 20 miles in the Grass Lands under glorious weather today. Favorable topo let me watch it all. She went 2/5 with some glorious long points and some late day dog brain shenanigans. I went 0/2. Huns beat me again. Bed privs earned. Now she is quietly rewinding her spring for tomorrow.
