We have about a trillion cells like these. Notice the blue nucleus containing the DNA. The mitochondria are the small orange moving organelles. They look like rapidly vibrating grains of rice. Notice in the mid right upper part of the frame, a cell is dividing. The small white threadlike spicules are microtubules pulling the two daughter cells apart. This is called spindle formation. Notice these same microtubules grow from one cell to another and pull them together into a cohesive group. These are the cells that keep us alive. Be good to them.
How do we get new mitochondria? With Stem cell therapy. See this link: jeffreydachmd.com/2026/06/st…
Look at these gorgeous, dynamic, orange mitochondria surrounding the blue nucleus.
A view of life from beneath a cell monolayer in a parti dish. Whatever angle you look at it, life is always dynamic and pretty special.

jeffreydachmd.com/2025/03/fi… No, people are not machines. Our cellular machinery looks and acts like microscopic molecular machinery. But, we are something else. We are conscious beings imbued with intelligence which makes us aware that we exist within, and we are a part of, the material world. We are aware that we did not create the material world. This leads to a recognition and gratitude to the entity known as the creator of the material world, and all life within it.
