i have a hunch that we'll create a new way of doing software, something like open source but not really like if i buy your app i wanna buy your efforts that you put into making it what it is at that point because i dont wanna vibe it from scratch it would take me time money and tokens to get to *your* point (unless you're making something ultra dumb that cab be oneshotted) BUT after i buy i wanna fully own it and add my tweaks to it, while also getting "updates" (that an agent merges into my thingie, because my thing would stray away from the original) idk how define this exactly but we're entering an era of hyper personalized software (at least for the nerds and tinkerers, not for normies)
if im using someone's app i have like 1-2 request tolerance now i ask you once i ask you twice then i simply remake the app if u don't comply lol this is only gonna get better/worse (depending on which side u are) from now on

Every new announcement adds another harness or framework instead of finishing the one they already have. This AI craze led the whole team to produce a sprawling catalog of overlapping tools ... none of them the clear answer a customer actually needs. opensauce.it/cloudflare-ai-p…

If you’re not reading the code, whether explicitly or through agentic inquiry, one or more of these is true: ○ You’re a beginner ○ Software is throwaway ○ You’re prototyping ○ You have no users / revenue ○ You’re taking on debt & risk ○ Your problems are basic And btw. All of this is fine. But the reality is that models are still not at the “full autonomy” stage yet. They make rookie mistakes, they go down bad architectural paths. I just had the best model in the world add a nonsensical 700ms delay to “settle” something and it told me “you’re right, I was cargo-culting” 🤨 I am on the camp that this need will diminish more and more. Most code is indeed going to be assembly-like. But we also have the global internet and software infrastructure riding on these models and narrative, and we have to respect that.

Excited to publish my first skill: Prefer Container Queries It makes components respond to their container's width, not the viewport - so the same component adapts anywhere you drop it. npx skills add flornkm/skills

The polymer in your filament dryer doesn't care about the marketing language used by the company who sold it to you. The moisture content doesn't care either. Your hotend doesn't care how long you dried your filament at the wrong temperature. Plan accordingly

Design Engineering Tip: One CSS property is responsible for most ugly expand animations. It’s height: auto. Replace it with: grid-template-rows: 0fr → 1fr;

A common API design mistake I see often is making one getter mean two different things depending on the given parameters Instead of having one method where “no key” means “return everything” and “has key” means “return one value”, split the intent into two methods: `attributes()` returns all attributes. `attribute($key)` returns one value. This avoids a foot-gun: if `$key` is dynamic and accidentally becomes `null` somewhere, you don't unexpectedly retrieve the whole internal array/object It also makes the code easier to read, because the method name tells you the intent, and each method gets a cleaner return type Small API split, but much clearer behaviour and intent

📦 For those of you that don't know laravel-query-builder yet, here's the quick explanation: it can transform URLs to Eloquent queries. In the example below, you allow specific filters, sorts, and includes. The URL drives the rest. Anything else throws a 400.

Meet Datatype, my new font that turns text into charts. Available on Google Fonts and of course in Workspace. Simple syntax like {b:10,25,7,95} turns into sparklines, pie charts, and bar charts that look great in your docs, slides, and sheets. fonts.google.com/specimen/Da…

DAEDALUS: (Greek: Δαίδαλος, “the cunning worker”) was a mythical Athenian inventor, architect, and master craftsman of the Bronze Age. Renowned for his unparalleled skill, he was said to have carved statues so lifelike they could move and see, and to have invented or improved many tools and mechanical devices. He embodies the archetype of the brilliant yet tragic human innovator whose ingenuity both creates wonders and courts disaster.
